The day flew by for Barbra, when she wasn't cooking or cleaning, she was helping her aunts chose outfits.

Aunt Selina wore a very mature black, Aunt Harley wore a bright red, and Aunt Ivy wore green with flower accessories.

Barbara was ready to pass out once she was done dressing her aunts, but the thought of her own dress flew into her mind.

It was a very simple blue dress, but Barbara was proud of her creation. She knew it was not fashionable in the slightest, but it was better than rags.

Barbara also found an old, flimsy mask when she was looking for her dress material the night before

Barbara also found an old, flimsy mask when she was looking for her dress material the night before.

Barbara ran down the stairs smiling. Her aunts were talking excitedly as they waited for their carriage to come.

"What do you think?" Barbara asked her aunts.

The woman went slient for a moment before Selina spoke. "You look exactly like your mother."

Barbara wiped a tear from her eye.

"Thank you Aunt Selina."

"Yes Selina, you are right." Ivy's voice was dangerous just like her stare. "She looks EXACTLY like her mother. She would have been so proud to see you, Barbara. There is only one small problem. Those sheets are mine."

Ivy ripped a huge part out of the bottem of Barbara's dress.

"Ivy!"

"Red!"

The evil woman kept tearing until Harley pushed her away, but the damage was done. Barbara sunk to the floor trying to hold in her tears.

"I hope this has teached you a valuable lesson. Never steal."

Ivy turned her head towards the window. "Looks like the coach is here. We really must be going."

Ivy ignored the glares from her sisters as she walked outside.

"You two should go," Barbara's voice was nearly audible. "And have a good time."

"Are you sure?" Aunt Harley asked.

Barbara nodded. "Thanks," whispered Harley before hugging her niece and running outside.

"Your mother would have been very proud of you Barbara," Selina said. The woman observed her claw like nails, "it would be such a shame if Ivy's dress were to rip during the ball."

Barbara couldn't tell if her Aunt was being serious or not, but the thought of it happening almost made Barbara smile.

Barbara watched the carriage drive away from the window. Than, she made a bug mistake, looking at the castle.

Barbara saw the bright lights glowing. She could be going there at this very moment but instead she was stuck in this building wearing a torn dress. The tears once again flowed from her eyes.

It's not fair! The thought consumed Barbara mind as she ran out to the gardens. She sat down next to the fountain and resting her head on the marble.

Barbara had given up all hope. There seemed to be no possible way of going to the ball now.
