I greeted everyone as they walked through the door, it made me happy, I finally got to see the Smith's and Halston's. Jennifer was right, Bradley's side of the family was surprisingly nice. Was he the one that's gone bad? Or did he get switched at birth? Because he doesn't fit with them. He's easier to spot out than a white crayon in a mixture of dark colored ones.

I shook my head. I shouldn't go so quick to judge, this is my first time seeing them. I haven't even had my first conversation with them yet. Plus, Bradley is nice.. When he wants to be and I always treasure those moments because every since that day I hit him with the pool stick he's been rougher with me, but only when we're alone so the only thing Jennifer suspects is 'father daughter time'

"Helena!" I say cheerfully as I go in for a hug. I recognized her from the pictures Bradley decided to share with me. She was cradling a toddler in her arms, so adorable. I tried to shake her little hand but she was so shy, she hid behind Mrs.Smith's naked shoulder and wrapped her arms around her neck for protection which was decorized with a pretty jewel that deflected sunlight from its natural shine.

"She's shy at first but don't worry once you get to know all of us" she chuckles and shakes her head slightly causing her earrings that were made from the same jewels of the necklace to clink "you'll regret knowing us.. But oh Karla! You're so beautiful! I'm so happy to finally see you" She says as she combs her fingers in my dirty blonde hair. She trickles her hand from my hair straight down to my shoulder, pulling out a few strands while doing so.

"Its nice seeing you too" I say as I place one of my hands on top of hers. She gives a weak smile before heading off through the house into the backyard for the baby shower.

Was Bradley switched? I thought again, it's clear as the day is bright. I kept thinking about it but it just started to trail off into the hits I now receive by him, I couldn't get my own self out of the flash backs as the blue cloud infested sky above me faded into it, my hands balled into fist and a scream aching to come out was about to pass but luckily a rude awakening back to reality reached first.

Alex was standing at the door with Ricky's arm wrapped around her waist, she caught my attention when she decided to snap her fingers right in front of my face. "Hello?" She said stretching out the word with a hint of agitation

"Alex" I say less enthusiastically. "You're here" I end with a fake smile

"Mrs.Smith invited us" She said dully, it's clear that she doesn't want to be here as much as I don't want her to be. "So your going to replace me, huh?"

"Hmm?" I say trying my best to mentally pull myself away from this conversation "Alex, why would I replace you?"

"Well with Mrs.Smith pregnant and all I figured that would be your new sister, since you've never cared for me anyways"

Is she being serious? That statement is so ridiculous it shouldn't even be acknowledged

"Earth to Karla" She said as she waved her hand in front of my face instead of snap

"Alex that's ridiculous" I said back from my zone out.

"What have you ever done for me?" Her voice getting angrier and deep "You left me in foster care"

I closed my eyes and inhaled the crisp fresh air calmly. I already needed a break from her and the few seconds I had as a break was keeping me sane. Although I could still hear her voice in a far distance trying to get my attention, so then, like a blood shot I opened my eyes to the sight of her still in front of me even closer than before "Alex, this is not the time. Please, stop. And if you want stay then stay but if not.. Leave" I responded calmer. I opened the door wider for the two to fit in, she mumbled things under her breath as she chose to walk in than leave. Poor Ricky he had to see a sister quarrel but what'd he care, he's been in more fights than him, himself could even count.
