Chapter 2 : Who are you?

I arrive at a small cave entrance that I hear small scuffling and whispers in the shadows.

"Logan? Ist that you?" I whisper in the direction of the darkness that seems to stick out. Then the figure jumps out and pins me to the wall while silver claws threaten to slit the unprotected skin of my throat.

"Who are you and what do you want with him?" The girl says and when I am unable to answer because her claws are cutting of my air und I start to gasp while trying to remove her arm, I'm still "allergic" to adamantium.

"Laura! Let the kid go..." a grave voice says and Logan himself steps into the light which causes Laura to let me go.

"What's your name, kid?" Logan says and I look at him with a smirk.

"You are not going to believe me but... Maxine Wagner." The look of displeasure and disbeliefe clouds his face before disappearing again and he laughs.

"Nah, you're not Maxi, she's dead, died in a plane crash."

"Well it was technically a helicarrier crash, but I am the real Maxi, und I can prove it."

"How? Just because you have a German accent and know how she died doesn't make you her."

"Well Prof. Xavier needs your help so you're going to have to believe me or he may die in some concentration camp."

"Charles is in a coma, how do you expect me to believe anything you just said?"

"Because if you don't then I'll have to save him myself, without you und your little mini-me, und I'll most likely die because they have new sentinels that have your powers because you were caught by Trask once!"

"Hey, you can't be getting upset at me, I never wanted this to happen to us, and I'm not coming with you!"

"You know what, Logan, I have every right to be upset right now, I wake up from a coma and find out that Kurt died while I was safe in some little forest sanctuary where I had been asleep for 20 years!" By this point I am on the verge of tears and Logan is looking at me with pity and sadness.

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you before, Maxi, I just don't know who to trust, except Laura, anymore... I've been grieving for Kurt for a while now, also." I then look up at him with tears soaking my eyes and he smiles apologetically.

"Will you come help the professor?"

"Yeah, you coming Laura?" He asks the girl and she nods.

"Of course I'm coming."

"Good, if the situation is really as bad as Maxi says, then we're going to have to go in guns blazing."

"Right, let's go save a whole bunch of mutants!"

"That's probably the weirdest battle cry I've ever heard, Maxi." Logan says and I shrug my shoulders and take off with Logan leading the way.
