I try to write
I'm scared today
My mind longs to remember
what I forgot.
I shake and quiver
for I can not remember
a weight on my chest
I can not forget.
What is wrong with me?
I am anxious, you can see
my eyes tell a story
of a nonexistent worry.
It happens all the time
I just can't remember what or why.
We actually have paper, and the first thing I do is write a poem. I'm not really sure why I'm so anxious, nothing big is happening, I'm just sitting down. Something is going to happen today, and I have no idea what, but it's not sitting well in my stomach.
"You ok, Maxi?" I jump at the voice and turn to see Leah standing in the doorway. Tears spring to my eyes and and run to hug her, she's alive.
"Um, Maxi?" Her voice sounds odd, I look up and I'm staring at Domino. I pull back quickly and rub my arms.
"Sorry Dom, I thought you were someone else." Her confused face softens and she goes to comfort me.
"You looked nervous, what's wrong?" I don't know, I have no idea what's wrong, but I'm anxious.
"I'm not going to tell you... because I'm fine." If I said anything, you would think I was crazy.
"No she won't Maxine, she's your friend, you should tell her."
"Professor, I can't, I can't go through this again, I feel like something's left out of my life and I don't know what it is!"
"Then tell her that, she can probably help you." I guess the Professor is right, I shouldn't hide things from people I trust.
"Actually Dom, I thought you were Leah, I was so happy that she was back I didn't even think twice about it." She hugs me and I hug her back.
"You can tell me anything, is that what you were so worried about?"
"I have no idea what I was worried about, I feel like something's wrong or missing."
"Well I know that allot of your past is connected to Genosha, I heard your name a couple times when I was part of the brotherhood." My eyes widen and I look at her in surprise.
"Who said my name?"
"Usually Pietro, but I heard Wanda say it once." I grab her hands and jump up and down.
"Danke shön, oh my goodness, thank you!" I hug her tightly and run out of the room. We need to get to Genosha again.
