"Yeah, they're all good,"
I continued cleaning William's wounds despite the fact that he's been containing his screams every now and then. A man, who was called Joseph, is the one guarding the prison cell right now. And he's the one who's talking to somebody on the phone.
Joseph's laughter resonated the room. "Seriously? You're giving me that much?" I turned to take a glance at Joseph's smiling yet evil face as he holds the device near to his ear. "Deal." He firmly said before the other end was cut. He turned to looked at William and shook his head. "What a helpless guy," He smirked as he caught me staring at him. I quickly looked away and resumed to attending William's wounds.
I ignored the churning noise inside of my stomach as I wrapped the ripped cloth of my dress to William's wound found in his stomach. I have been cleaning his wound every 10 minutes. And ealier, something I'm not familiar with and dragged me out of the room forcefully that I have to scream from pain for my hands were screaming red from the thing that was tied on me. I did not have a second to see what was used to tie me for I was dragged down the stairs of this huge mansion.
For a second there, I was kind of like blinded by the lights when I got out. The house we were currently in, is very huge. It had hundreds of room lined up. The house itself looked ancient, but nevertheless magnificent if it weren't for the weird words carved on the walls. It seemed to be written in another language, that was why I can't understand. I realized we were in third floor of the house when a bunch of kids in their early years went out in a room full of toys that all kids wished to play with.
I looked up from where I am and found a chandelier hanging up above. I was in awe when I stared at the magnificent thing being hang in the ceiling. The chandelier itself was made with gold with little specks of silver in it. My mind was in deep thought when I saw the weird carvings again. How long did this house existed?
"Hey, keep up the pace, vampire." I had to looked away from the chandelier when the man dragging me suddenly stop and turned to look at me. I stared back at those scary black eyes and gulped. He continued dragging me again to another set of stairs as we continued to pass by rooms. The rooms seems awfully quite and I don't need to know what was awaiting on the other side of it. Just thinking of it made my heart stop beating.
I looked past the windows as we were beggining to pass by one. It seems everything was on slow motion when I found myself staring at the full moon. Somehow, it made my spirit alive. It made my body awake, like all of my body parts was just aching to get permission to be wild and enjoy feeling the moon's presence. I, somehow, let my eyes drop and feel the overwhelming strength of the moon.
"Why don't you sing?" I could hear laughters and people's loud cheers as we were beginning to get near of the main floor. I opened my eyes at the sudden interruption. I looked around and found teenagers, old and young, babies and women gathered to what seem like a living room. They were happily chatting and laughing not until we passed them.
We came to a full stop when the man stopped and kneeled in front of a kid who seemed to tugged at the man's pants.
"Daddy, where are you taking the young lady?" A small boy asked, and I was shock when he referred the man as his father. I thought, he was all alone. I thought He did not have a family for he seems scary at that. But I was wrong, he has a son and a wife.
The man smiled which shocked me, his smile..it does looked force, it came out looking natural. "Daddy has business to attend to. Why not go to your mother and asked to read you stories?" The man ignored his son's question and went to divert the topic instead. The little boy smiled and went scurrying off to a woman which I find hard to believe is his wife. His wife, looked the opposite of him. His wife looked gentle and caring. And from my perspective, she looked..contented. I found myself staring at the man who dragged me, to stare at his wife with so much love, affection and protection. He might be such a scary dude, but now I know, bad guys has soft hearts deep within.
