"William's picking you up at Eight, Craeslilale." Lorainne said at Craeslilale who was at the table, having troubled thoughts.

Lorainne noticed the absence of mind of her granddaughter. She approached her but still got no response. She sat across from Craeslilale who hasn't touch her food yet.

"Craeslilale," Lorainned called out to Craeslilale. But Craeslilale was very occupied by her thoughts that she hasn't noticed her Grandmother's presence.

"Craeslilale, dear.." This time, Lorainne went to grabbed Craeslilale's hand. Craeslilale blinked a few times before furrowing her eyebrows at her Grandmother. "Grandma?"

Lorainne stared at her granddaughter before shaking her head slowly. "You were spacing out again, dear." Craeslilale couldn't help but feel guilty. But she couldn't help thinking about the possibilities of the wolf she saw and the howl she heard, were true. She couldn't believe she just saw a very big wolf below her window, walking at their lawn like it had come with no danger.

"I'm sorry..it's just that, my life has been a mess lately." Craeslilale shrugged as she stared at her hands on top of the table.

What if what she saw last night..was nothing but a dream? Yes, a dream. The size of the wolf wouldn't be like that, I mean, they're wolves. They are a bit bigger than dogs, but nonetheless, small.

"Craeslilale Mikhail Xertes." Craeslilale quickly left her thoughts as her grandmother called her with her voice laced in anger. "You've been like this since the ball! Stop acting like your life has to end as well! Look at your grandfather. He has been trying to cheer you up! Where is he? He's at the convenience store, buying you your favorite snack." Craeslilale held her grandmother's shoulder before hugging her.

She couldn't stand a chance, seeing her grandmother being frustrated of what she has been doing. She, again, felt selfish for not caring about their feelings towards her actions. She has done it again. Being selfish.

"I'm sorry, Grandma." She sincerely apologized. , tigly hugging her petite frame. "I'll promise to make it up with you guys." Lorainne nodded as she gently patted Craeslilale's back. A small smile was now etched in her face. Her eyes were finally showing out a small hope.

"Mrs. Xertes!" They were disturbed when someone called Lorainne outside. Craeslilale pulled away from the hug before leaving her grandmother in the kitchen, to answer the door.

"Wait a minute!" Lorainne yelled from the kitchen as she watched her granddaughter walking up towards the door to answer. Craeslilale opened the door only to be met by a smiling William. Though his smile didn't actually reach his eyes, but even though with that, she felt like his smile was warm.

"Are you ready?" He quickly asked. Craeslilale nodded slowly before turning to face her grandmother who was already behind her.

"Oh, William! It's nice to see you. Come on in, have some breakfast!" Craeslilale opened the door wider for William to get inside. William stepped inside as he was met by the smell of pancakes. "It's nice to see you too Mrs. Xertes, but unfortunately, the competition is about to start. If you don't mind-"

"Sure thing. Craeslilale is very much ready to go now." Lorainne pushed Craeslilale towards William, which caused the lady to stare at her grandmother with wide eyes. "You're not coming?" Craeslilale expected to go to the competition with her grandparents, but unfortunately, she was going with William.

Lorainne widen her eyes, before laughing. "Of course, we'll be there. We wouldn't want to miss the competition of our girl!" Lorainne happily announced as she moved to pushed the two teenagers out of the house. "You're going to be late!" The two only stared at each other with confusion before getting out of the house and into William's car.
