I felt like my body was pushed down to a mass of a grown elephant as I tried to move. My back is in pain, and my butt hurts. I groaned as I tried to sit up from the very soft cushion underneath me.I slowly open my eyes to see I was in my room. I looked around and sensed that it's already getting dark. There's no one here, except for me.
I looked at my clothes and found out I'm already in my pajamas. I draw my nose near my shirt to smell if this was new or old. To my surprise, it's new. Maybe Grandma changed my clothes earlier.
I slowly stood up, with my hands on the bed, supporting my weight. I straigtened up my back and walked to where my door is.
I cautiously opened my door, afraid of what might be on the other side, and walked out of the room when silence was the only thing that appeared to be my enemy. I was only met by the light that irritated my eyes. I covered my eyes as my eyes slowly gained it's consciousness from the light.
I found this silence defeaning, so I went to my grandparents' room to see if they're awake.
It's like I was dragging my feet to where their room is. I'm still weak and my body is still in pain. Their room is just around the corner. A few distance from mine.
When I reached their room, I knocked on their door. I waited for a few moments, when I didn't hear any movements. Weird. "Grandma? Grandpa?"
I slowly open their door only to see an untouch bed. Where are they?
I proceeded inside and looked for anything unusual when I found a note at their table. I went to pick it up when I nearly screamed from the pain.
"It's just a paper, Craeslilale. It won't harm you like a knife would do." I said to myself out loud. But seriously, the paper sent me chills just by holding it.
I smelt something odd from the paper but ignored it anyways. What could a piece of paper do to you?
I reached out the paper, ignoring the pain. I read out the note.
'Be back in a month.'
I furrowed my eyebrows in a weird way. They usually left me very lengthy notes when they didn't get to say goodbye to me, personally. I'm surprised that it only contained five words.
I shrugged the weird feeling as I exited the room. I closed the door behind me before giving the room one last glance.
I descended the stairs and heard muffles coming out from the kitchen. I furrowed my eyebrows and walked to where the kitchen is. We rarely have visistors here. Grandma and Grandpa used to be out of the house for such a long time. When they're here, they are usually here for like, weeks.
But before I could reach the kitchen, I stopped and hid when I heard two deep voices resonating the kitchen.
"It's a good thing she's not in a critical condition."
"You're right. The doctor told me she'd be back on her feet in two days." William? What is William doing in here?
I took a peek and widen my eyes. Joshua's here too? Since when did I see Joshua in this house?
