'Is she okay?'

'Will she be fine?'

I could hear faint voices lingering in my ears. I couldn't see anything, neither could I move my body.

Is this the purgatory? Why can't I see anything? I'm dead, right?

I felt a hand on my arm. I could feel my hand getting wet from an uncertain source.

Where am I exactly?

Whispers. Barking. Cries. Beeps.

I force myself to move, I can't stay still forever. It took all of my power to move my fingers.

'Doc, her fingers twitched!'

As I moved my fingers, I felt my body at ease. One moment I was stiff, now I'm at ease. It only took one move for my body to relax and gained control.

I opened my eyes, surprised to the sudden light, I closed them back. I heard shoes stepping the floor, beeps getting louder, people yelling at each other. I opened my eyes slowly, to let them adjust from the light.

I saw people wearing white uniform rushing inside the room, and a man who pushed the door locked.

"What's happening?" I asked with my voice hoarse.

The guy, that I assumed to be the doctor, seems shocked just looking at me. I gave him a raised eyebrow.

I quickly sat up and looked around. I found myself in a room with an oxygen tank and a heart monitor with it.

What happened?

I heard a long beeping line in the room. I looked at my left and found out that it was just the heart monitor showing whether I'm dead or alive. My body froze at what I just saw.

What? I don't understand.

I could feel everybody's eyes on me. The nurses gave me a scared look.

"Uhm, doc?" The doctor gulped as he wipe his sweats in his forehead with a handkerchief. "That's broken."

I see him relax and heaved a sigh, but suddenly he tense up. "We just bought it a day ago.." I heard the doctor muttered.

"Doc, it's broken. I mean, why am still alive when that, in the monitor, shows a long straight red line." Then, they all rushed to go outside and told me that they will be back for a check up, saying they should fix their monitor...first.

I got out from bed and thank the gods I'm not in a hospital gown. I removed the tube that's been giving me oxygen, it's disturbing the hell out of me.

"Craeslilale?" I turned around to see Grandma with a worried expression.

"Oh hey," Grandma called out to Grandpa and he got inside the room.

I involuntary held my head down when my head throbbed. Memories from last night came rushing back to me, all at once.

"Lale, are you okay? Why are you so pale? Paler than the last time!" They rushed to me like they couldn't believe I'm standing when the last time they saw me, I was laying down, on the ground.

"Sheesh. I'm alright, guys. " I tried to convinced them. Their voice, its irritating my ears. My head was still throbbing.

Grandma seems surprised at what I said, "Don't be so rude young lady."

I rolled my eyes and left them in the room. Her voice makes me crazy. Its too loud and annoying.

When I got out, Amy, Joshua and William were sitting outside. I looked around the hallway and saw people were piling up, rushing for their loved ones.
