London.
And for the first time in the history of the universe, Blade was speechless. She just stared at me, like I had just hit her with an atomic bomb. I waited a minute until she spoke.
"You're... Leaving?" She asked in a small voice.
"Well, yes, but-" I began before she cut me off.
"Why are you leaving? We had plans. Adventures. What ever happened to all that?"
"Nothing." I responded, grabbing her hands, "We can still do all that."
"But... Senior year..."
"I'll come back to visit."
"It's not the same. We can't talk every day."
"We have cell phones for a reason."
"You know what I mean."I sighed, and hugged her.
"I'm sorry. But... This is for my future."
"What about me? Aren't I apart of that?"
"Of course. I'll come back for you," I lied.I loved her as my sister, but I needed completely out of this town. I felt so sheltered, I needed to discover myself. The more people begged me to stay, the more I was convinced I needed to entirely disassociate from this place.
Blade held me tight, too tight.
"B-blade, I'm coming back for you. It'll be okay."
"No it won't," she sniffed.
"Blade... Come on..."
"You weren't supposed to leave."That pissed me off. I pushed her away.
"What do you mean, I'm not 'supposed' to leave?"
"I... Nothing. Sorry." She nearly whispered.I decided to forgive her. I shouldn't be mad at her. She didn't do anything wrong. She's just upset that I'm leaving. I embraced her again.
"It's fine. I... Still have a few months," I tried to cheer her up.
"It isn't long enough. Where are you going anyways?"
"Uh... Oregon..."
"THE STATE?!" She screeched.I rolled my eyes.
"No, the planet," I responded sarcastically.
"It basically is another planet. There's not even beaches there. It's land locked."I laughed.
"And you wonder why you failed geography..." I deadpanned.
She sighed.
"But it's so... Far... Away...." She whined, falling back onto my bed.
"That's the point," I muttered under my breath.
"What?"
"Nothing."I sighed, and laid next to Blade. She wrapped me in her arms, and I let her cuddle me. Soon, I let her sweet scent and soft breath lull me to sleep.
