Blade.

I woke up in darkness. I heard breathing next to me, and the smell of sweat and smoke filled my nostrils as I took a deep breath. It took me a minute to remember.

London on the couch. The highway. Angel. The fix. The bedroom.

I then began to notice my body. I was drenched in sticky sweat, completely naked. I was starving, probably the munchies. My head throbbed, like I was a cartoon character hit in the head by a baseball bat.

I slowly rolled out of the strange bed. I stumbled around in the dark until I found my clothes. Angel mumbled something, but I ignored her as I quickly pulled on my jeans and made my way out to the door. Making sure I had my phone, keys, and drugs, I grabbed a bottle of water and left the apartment. I chugged the water as quickly as possible, jogging down the steps. The dim hall lights didn't help my headache.

I then stepped outside, breathing in a deep breath of air that didn't smell like mold or weed. The sun blinded me, and I swore at myself for not having sunglasses.

I folded myself into my car and leaned back in the seat. I then realized that London had no idea where I was. I checked the time.

8:47.

Shit. I had already missed first period. I texted London quickly, promising to bring her lunch. I then threw my phone in the passenger seat and pulled out of the lot.

I sped down the highway. It wasn't as empty as last night, with some light traffic. While I was sitting at a block, I began to think about London.

Her blonde hair, that glistened in the sunlight. Her shiny green eyes. The way her one dimple showed when she smiled. Her perfect teeth. Her slender figure. The small freckle on her collar bone.

She was beautiful.

I needed her.

I needed a plan to be hers. To win her over, convince her to stay. I needed to show her what she meant.

I need to start tonight. I'll take her somewhere. The beach? It's the first place we went together. I'll take her on a date. Unofficially of course. But it will still be a date. Yes. I'll prove to her that she needs to be mine.

I pulled into the lot of the nearest Daily Grocer. We would have a picnic. I found all her favorite foods. Doritos, Lunchables pizza, and juice boxes. Perfect for a cute date, right?

I drove to pick her up fries and a frozen coffee for lunch, and continued planning the date in my head. I needed her. I loved her.
