Back In The Days

It was a party. Timbaland, Missy, Aaliyah, Magoo, Playa, Ginuwine, Mocha, Lil Kim, Mary J. Blige and several others made their way into the Palace for Biggie's birthday bash. Everybody was hyped because Aaliyah's album, One In A Million, had just gone platinum. Rashad was supposed to meet them there later. 

Right when Aaliyah walked in, everybody started hitting her move where she rocked side by side with her hands out in front her. She laughed before hitting the dance herself. Biggie walked over and hugged her.

"Well if it isn't the L-I-Y-to the A-H in the house!"

"Hey Big!"

They hugged and paused for a few pictures before he made his way to Kim.

"Hey mama. What's up?"

"You tell me. How's Faith?"

Everybody began to walk off after that. They knew how the conversation was about to turn. Ginuwine walked up to Aaliyah and asked her to dance. They made their way out to the dance floor while Missy and Tim 'nem went and sat in the corner.

Missy saw the look on Tim's face as he watched the two dance. She shook her head, smiling.

"When are you going to tell her you like her?"

Tim's head snapped around to Missy. At first he was going to deny it but he decided against it. He just smiled and shook his head.

"Never."

Missy rolled her eyes.

"And why the hell not?"

"I'm supposed to be something like her big brother Miss. She ain't checking for me like that."

Little did he know, Aaliyah was crazy about him. She just didn't want to mess up their friendship. As she danced with G, she kept looking over in Tim's direction. She wanted nothing more than to be dancing with him. Just as the song was ending and they were about to leave the floor, a loud noise erupted and before anybody could move, Faith and Kim were rolling around on the floor while Big tried to break them up. His body guards came over and pulled the two women apart. Soon after, gun shots broke out. 

"These motherfuckas done ruined my party!"

After everybody ran out and made sure they were in the car safely, they started laughing.

"Kim you sure know how to blow up a spot!"

They all decided to just rent a hotel room and chill. Tim was sitting by himself when Liyah walked over and sat close to him, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"What's up babygirl?"

"Nothing much. Wondering why you over here by yourself."

"Just thinking."

She smiled at him and continued to lay her head on him. They sat in silence, looking at each other before Kim and Mary came over, jumping on the seat by them.

"What we eating y'all?"

"I just want some grapes and strawberries."

"Okay, fruit for Liyah. Pizza and wings for me. Burger for Mary. What you eating Tim?"

"I'll take some wings."

Mary smiled at Liyah and Tim.

"Ya'll two would make the perfect couple."

"Ewww, no way. This is like my older brother."

Liyah laughed it off but it wasn't only to hide her embarrassment. She was blushing so bad inside because she thought Mary could see how she felt about Tim. Tim only the other hand was embarrassed as well, but not in a good way. He felt stupid for thinking he could ever hold Aaliyah's attention. It was then that he knew that giving up on his feelings would be the best thing for him to do.
