To say Aaliyah Dana Mosley was hurt would be an understatement. When Tim popped up on her screen, all she wanted to do was hug and kiss him. But when he opened his mouth, she wanted to punch him.

Why was he such an ass?

"Liyah... LIYAH!!!"

She looked up into her best friend's eyes and sighed. They'd pulled up to Dada's house 30 minutes ago and Liyah was still sitting in the car, staring at her phone, wanting to call back and curse Tim out. But she decided against it.

"Yeah Dada?"

"Damn girl, who called that got you like this?"

"Missy 'nem."

"Let me guess, Tim said something to piss you off..?"

"When doesn't he?"

"Give my brother-in-law a break Lee. He be in his feelings."

"Him being in his doesn't give him the right to hurt mine."

Liyah sighed and went back to looking through her inventory. Truthfully, she was tired of arguing with Tim. She knew he got upset with her whenever she traveled but what could she do? Things happened and life was a chance. Every day, there was a risk that something would happen so why should she limit herself and stop living? Kidada waved her hand in front of Liyah's face.

"Okay. We're going inside to get you a drink so you can relax bae. Don't need you in a funk mode."

Kidada knew how much things with her friend's marriage were affecting her. She'd been right there for all of the post fights and tears. She wished that she could help patch things up that's why she was glad that her boo Willie suggested the retreat. After this premiere, they could finally take a break and enjoy the moment. She couldn't think of a better way than helping her friend get back on track with her hubby.

They walked inside Kidada's house and got comfortable. They both took showers and changed into comfortable clothes before meeting up in the kitchen. They fixed drinks and made beef nachos and cinnabons. They took it into the living room and went over their lineup, deciding who would stand where and how they wanted the set to look.

Kidada got a text from Wilbur.

"How r things?"

"Tim is an asshole. Nothing new."

"Wow. What happened?"

"He acted his normal self on a Facetime call."

"Damn."

Kidada put up her phone and decided to see what was really bothering Liyah.

"Okay Liyah, spill it. What's going on?"

Liyah pondered if she really wanted to tell her friend about this new development that had her acting so strange and emotional. She figured Dada would be the perfect person to tell. Her best friend would understand if no one else did.

"I love him Dada but I don't know if I can take this anymore."

Hearing her words out loud really hurt her. She could tell they had left Kidada speechless. She never thought that she would say those words. There was no one she loved more than Tim but the hurt that he caused by pushing her away and saying such ugly things to her, was too much for her to bare.

Kidada didn't know what to say so she just went and sat next to Liyah pulling her into her arms. She hoped that this retreat changed her mind. She knew how much they loved each other and wanted them to work things out.

They had to work things out.
