Aaliyah woke up the next morning in high spirits. The text from her husband plus the fruit and flower arrangement at the door managed to inspire her smile for most of the morning. Her and Kidada were at the arena where their fashion show would be in full effect later tonight.

The guest list for the event was jam packed with almost anyone who is anybody in the industry. From Miley Cyrus to Ice Cube. Naomi Campbell to Gabrielle Union. She was past excited. Rashad was supposed to pull up any moment and she didn't want to be so busy that she wasn't able to greet him.

Her and Kidada had decided to take a break and were sitting around talking when Rashad finally pulled up. Aaliyah ran to him and jumped in his arms.

"Hey Shad!"

"Damn Liyah! You ain't that little anymore!"

"Boy shut up. You can hold me!"

"Hey Rashad."

"Hey Kid! What they do sissy?"

"Nothing much."

Kidada gave him a hug and they all sat down in the room. He asked about the show and if there was anything that he could do to help out. They had everything under control so the only thing to do now is wait.

"Kid, what's good to eat out here? A brother starving!"

"Me and Lee went to this amazing Japanese restaurant the last time she was out here. You want that?"

"Naw man. I want some good ole soul food!"

"Oh, I got the perfect spot then."

They all walked out and got in Kidada's car. When they pulled up to the restaurant, Liyah and Rashad jumped out the car laughing. Shad made like he was about to kiss the ground.

"Fuck both y'all. My driving ain't that bad."

"We're talking a video when we leave to show you just how waky your driving is."

Half way through their lunch, Aaliyah got a text from Tim.

"How's everything?"

"Everything is okay. How are you? How did the song go?"

"It went good. He sent it in and we're waiting to hear back. You ready for your show?"

"yeah. Everything is ready and good to go. Just waiting until show time."

"I wish I was there."

"I do too."

"Well, I'll be watching on E!"

She sent him a kissy face emoji before going back to her food. Rashad saw the look on her face and decided to tease her.

"That better be my bro-in-law you texting that got you blushing."

"For your information, it was."

"So y'all back on good terms now?"

"We're working on it. Right now, we pretty much have an understanding."

Kidada laughed before getting in on the teasing.

"Basically they are walking on egg shells around the problem trying not to piss each other off and break the egg."

Aaliyah shot her a bird and they all laughed. When they finished eating, they decided to head to Dada's to take a nap until showtime.

*Fashion Show time*

Aaliyah, Kidada, Rashad and their silent partner Shelby all arrived in the limo. When they stepped out, cameras went to flashing and the paparazzi went crazy.

"Aaliyah! Aaliyah! Over here!"

"Kidada! Kidada!"

After posing for pictures and talking to a few media outlets, they began to stroll the red carpet. As they got closer to the entrance, a tall man backed out of the door and straight into Aaliyah. When he turned around, it was none other than Drake, the rapper.

He saw Aaliyah and smiled one of the biggest smiles ever.

"Well hello gorgeous!"

Before she could stop him, he pulled her into a hug and kissed her on the cheek. She knew that this would be nothing but trouble. It was no secret that Drake was obsessed with her and for some reason, he didn't mind letting anyone know. His feelings for her drove Tim crazy. If he was watching like he said he was, Aaliyah knew she was in for an earful.

Tim was most definitely watching. And he was fuming. To see Drake with his hand so close to Aaliyah's hip made him want to punch the screen. And the fact that he hadn't let go since he first hugged her made him want to call and cuss him out. But he decided to chill. It was just a hug and a kiss?

"Did this motherfucka just-"

As he talked out loud, his cellphone rang. He could already tell it was Wilbur.

"Tim, are you-"

"Yes, I'm watching this shit. No, I'm not that damn mad. No, I'm not going to call Aaliyah right now."

"Good-"

"But he will see me later on. And I'm going to tell Lee about this shit too."

He hung up the phone and threw it.

He liked Drake as an artist, but his infatuation with HIS wife was going to have to be cut short. There are just some things you don't do. Some lines you don't cross. And Drake was hopscotching over the line.
