Chapter Three :
I looked up at Shane, "So I got a phone call earlier," He froze with his burger halfway to his mouth, I giggled, "It was Audrey," I said. He shook his head as he took a bite, "She said Lily wanted to come up and spend awhile with us since she's on summer break now," I continued. He smiled, "Sure she can," I nodded, "I'll call her back after supper." I gave Alex some fries and cut up the hamburger patty into smaller bites for her. We finished supper and I gave Alex a bath while Shane cleaned up the kitchen. Shane came into the bedroom and turned the tv on, I helped Alex get her pajamas on and she ran out to him. "When's your next day off?" I asked him. He grabbed the remote and turned on the tv, "I get the weekend off," he said. "Oh good! I wanna go do some shopping before Lily gets here," I said as I laid down on the bed. Alex was laying on Shane's chest and he pulled me closer to him.

Shane's POV :
Hannah and Alex were still asleep when I got up, so I went downstairs to fix them breakfast.
I had just finished when I heard Alex chatting away to her mom about how she wants a puppy. "Alex you'll have to ask you daddy if you can have a puppy," Hannah said. Here we go. "Daddyyyyy," Alex said, dragging out the y. "What baby doll?" I asked. "Mommy said I had to ask you, so can I have a puppy?" She grinned a toothy grin. "We'll have to see, I gotta talk to mommy about it," I said as I looked up at Hannah. Alex spun around on her heel, "Mommy pleaseeee say yes! I really want a puppy!" Hannah and I chuckled, "We'll talk about it, Alex," Hannah said. "Okay enough about puppies, let's eat breakfast," I said. We finished eating and then we went upstairs to get ready to go shopping. "Alex, go to your room and play and I'll help you get dressed when I'm done okay?" Hannah said. "Okay mommy," Alex ran off to her room.
"What's your opinion on the puppy?" I asked. Hannah grinned, "I'm okay with it, are you?" I kissed her, "Yeah, I think we should get her one." We all got ready and left for the store.

Hannah's POV :
Shane was carrying Alex on his shoulders while we walked through the grocery store. I was getting the food we need while Shane and Alex talked and laughed. "Mommy can we get cookies?" Alex asked. "Yeah, we can," I replied. "Yay!" She cheered and bounced on Shane's shoulders. "Hey calm down up there," Shane chuckled. We finished shopping, went back home to put the groceries away, and then we went back into town to eat at the local diner for lunch.
