Chapter Eight :

Shane woke me up and told me he was leaving for work, I had a weird feeling about today. He went and told Alex bye and headed out. Alex and I got up and just had a lazy day, watching cartoons and eating junk food.
Shane's POV :
Rick and I were eating lunch in Rick's cop car when we were interrupted by dispatch. We went to the location.
(( a/n I wanted to make this different from the TWD scene, but couldn't think of anything ))
Rick and I placed the spikes on the road and we all waited for the car to come over the hill, I started to approach the car when one man started shooting, he had shot me and I fell to the ground. Rick came over and helped me, "You cannot tell Hannah about this!" I said. I turned to walk back to the car when I felt a piercing pain in my back, I fell to the ground and Rick was applying pressure to the wound. All I remember was Rick screaming for them to call an ambulance and everything went black.
Rick's POV :
"Shane stay with me, you got a family at home, come on man stay with me," I kept repeating until the ambulance got there. They took Shane and I got in my car to follow them when I realized I had to tell Hannah her husband has been shot, my put my head in my hands then I drove to Hannah's.

I got there and nervously knocked on the door, it was too late when I noticed I still had Shane's blood on my hands and shirt. "Hi Ric-, oh my god what happened?" Hannah asked. "I think we should sit down," I said as I followed her to the couch. "Hannah, I'm so sorry, but Shane he was, he was shot," I said. "You can't be serious?" She asked, her voice cracking. I shook my head yes and she started crying. I pulled her into my arms and hugged her. Once she was done crying she said, "I have to go to the hospital," She stood up and ran upstairs. I waited to drive her because she was in no condition to drive. She came downstairs with Alex 15 minutes later and we left...
