{ 18 } Sibling Love

{ POV: Neal }

Bliss ended up staying in the castle over night. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen Emma so I couldn't introduce her to Bliss.

I woke up and found myself wrapped n the silk sheets in my bed. I got up and quickly got dressed. Once I looked reasonable I ran out my room and hurried down the hall.

As I ran, I bumped into Emma who was linking arms with Killian. I fell and quickly sat up. Emma looked at me with wide eyes.

"Why are you running?" She asked. I sighed, "I couldn't find you yesterday so I wasn't able to tell you and it all happened so fast and I figured you wouldn't mind because it doesn't entirely affect you-".

"Neal! What happened?" She asked, interrupting my rambling. I sighed, "I met a peasant on my way to the princess...she had been in a carriage accident and I brought her here...she's in the guest room".

Her eyes grew wider, "You did what?!".

I chuckled nervously, "I know it's not the smartest choice but I couldn't just leave her there!". She nodded, "I agree but next time tell me".

"Also, there's one other thing I should mention" I hesitantly said. Emma looked at me with a worried look, "What is it?". I smiled, "I think I love her".

"Woah, woah, woah!...what do you mean 'love'?" She asked. I shrugged, "Well, I'm not 100% sure about love but I do like her...and I can grow to love her".

Emma stepped closer, "Neal I understand where you're coming from...but asking a woman you just met to marry you is insane!".

I nodded, "I know it sounds that way but look at you and Killian! You guys love each other and it happened in a short time!". Emma nodded, "Yeah, we fell in love fast but not immediately...if Killian asked me to marry him when we first met, I probably would've said no".

Killian stepped forward, "Hey!". She looked at him and smiled, "Calm down, I married you eventually". Then he stepped back.

She turned back to me, "But we spent a lot of time together and got to know each other...then we fell in love". I sighed, "So you're saying that I should get to know her?". She nodded, "That's exactly what I'm saying".

I sighed, "I guess you're right". She placed a hand on my shoulder, "I'm not saying this to make you unhappy, I'm telling you because I'm your sister and I love and care about you". I nodded, "I know, I'd do the same for you".

Killian stepped forward again, "You guys are talking like I'm some mean person, I'm actually quite delightful!". Emma chuckled, "You're not mean, you were mean".

I took a deep breath and kept walking towards Bliss' room. I knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

I opened the door and found her laying on the bed. I walked in and smiled, "Enjoying the luxuries?". She nodded, "This bed is incredibly comfortable!". I chuckled, "I know".

She took a deep breath before sitting up. "What's wrong?" She asked. I shrugged, "Nothing, everything is fine...I was just wondering if you'd be interested to go riding with me today?".

She nodded, "I'd love to!".

I smiled, "I'll meet you at the stables in 10 minutes". She nodded and I left the room.

{ POV: Emma }

I looked down at the village and forest from the balcony. Killian stood beside me and enjoyed the view as well.

"I think he should be careful with this girl" I said but kept my eyes on the view.

"What do you mean, love?" He asked. I sighed, "He likes her...sometimes liking someone can blind you and make you over look any bad qualities or any red flags".

He shrugged, "I think Neal can handle this situation".

I nodded, "He can handle it but not in the right way". "So what do you suggest we do?" He asked. I shrugged, "Just keep an eye out for him...and if we see anything suspicious, we confront him".

He nodded, "Ok...but I'm sure there is nothing to worry about".
