{ 6 } Boxed Dreamshade

{ POV: Emma }

We stayed at camp for a while before we all got together. Hook got everyone's attention, "Ahoy!...listen up!...today we will go search for the dreamshade!". The crew cheered, I stayed near Hook and watched him talk to the crew.

Oscar approached Hook, "We should leave in groups, three people in each group". Hook nodded, "Good idea!...any volunteers?". Smee jumped up, "How about Captain, Oscar and Emma...then Navy, Marc and me?". Everyone nodded, looks like groups were decided.

We split up and prepared for the trip. All I had was my sword and my magic, it would have to do. Oscar and Hook joined me and we headed into the woods.

We walked for a very long time. My feet hurt, I was hungry and tired.

Hook and Oscar were ahead of me looking around, I just walked for a bit. "I think I see some!...I'll go look...Oscar, stay with Emma" Hook yelled before disappearing.

Oscar walked over to me and stood beside me. "Hi" He greeted, I smiled, "Hi". He looked back at where Hook had left, then he returned his gaze to me, "Do you like the Captain?". I nodded, "He's very outgoing I guess you could say". Oscar shook his head, "No...I mean like like him?".

I didn't say anything, it was one thing to feel them, it was another thing to say them. "I don't know what you mean, why would you assume that?".

He smirked, "You do!". I just turned away and looked at some trees pretending to be very focused on them. "Well he likes you, I can tell...I just wanted to know if you liked his as well" he said.

I kept my gaze on the trees but inside I was smiling. He moved so that he was standing in front of me, "We both know the trees on this island aren't that interesting...and you don't need to be embarrassed, it's ok if you have feelings for him". I finally turned my gaze to him, "Don't tell anyone, ok?...I don't even know how to process it myself".

He nodded, "It's safe with me, princess". I rolled my eyes and we both turned to where Hook was. I wondered where he was, I mean it couldn't take this long to look around.

As if on cue, Hook came out from the bushes and trees. He smiled and approached us, "I found some!...I'm going to need the box and my sword".

Oscar grabbed the box and handed it to Hook. Then he turned back around and handed Hook his sword, "Be careful, Captain". Hook nodded and turned around. He was about to leave when Oscar grabbed his arm. "Should I come with you?".

Hook shook his head, "No!...I'll be fine, plus I need you to stay with Emma". Oscar nodded once more and stepped back. Hook unexpectedly approached me, Oscar walked away.

I looked at Hook. "I need you to stay with Oscar". I nodded, "I'll be fine, you're just going to take the dreamshade and leave...right?". Hook hesitantly nodded.

He was hiding something, I could see him holding it back. "What?...What aren't you telling me?". He seemed dazed then returned his gaze to me, "Nothing...but you need to stay with Oscar and listen to him, promise?".

If he was asking me to promise something, it was serious. "Yeah", I replied. I just didn't want to argue with him. Oscar returned and smiled at me, "Ready to go?". Hook turned to him, "Aye...you know the plan?". Oscar nodded and Hook walked off.

I immediately turned to Oscar, "What's the plan?....What aren't you guys telling me?". Oscar packed up our things and grabbed me by my arm.

I tried to go free from his grip but it wasn't working. I finally got free and turned to look him straight in the eye. "Answer me!".

Oscar sighed, "It's plan B"
