Chapter 9: A battle between two hopes and nightmares.

It was a battle between us four versus Stephen. Kristina knows archery all right but she didn’t bring her bow and arrow. Bruce and Val are hardcore in punching people. I don’t know anything at all. Stephen knows the basic karate.

“I work with someone.” He said.

“We’re not asking.” Val argued.

“Stephen, who are you working for?” Kristina asked.

He pointed his arms behind us. It was Karl all over again. He keeps on blocking the good things as if your room’s cold and cold rooms can have a chance for you to have nightmares.

“Bruce,” Karl said.

“I wasn’t expecting you for a match.” Bruce said. “There are four of us and only two of you. You’re outnumbered.”

“Shouldn’t you be kind?” Not being a complete jerk?” I said to Karl.

“Ah, Nicole,” Karl said. “You beautiful girl, but you don’t speak beautifully.”

I gave him a sneer look.

Kristina patted me. “Are you ready?”

She had a bow and arrow ready.

“Where did you get that?” I asked.

“I didn’t know that the school has bows and arrows.”

“Shoot him them!”

“I will if he’s just steady.”

She’s right. He is messy she can’t get a clear shot. If she missed, she might be able to hit Bruce or Val and lead them to injuries. In fact, the bows and arrows are only wood and so as the tip of the arrow.

“Bruce, Val, make Karl steady so Krisa can get a clear shot!” I yelled to the boys that are having a hand combat.

Then, I saw Stephen, trying to hit Kristina from her back. But Stephen can’t make a good position, so it’s still good.

“Hold still Kristina so I can hit you!” Stephen said.

“Never,” Kristina argued.

Stephen tries to hit Krisa but he can’t because Kristina was too messy.

When I looked at the three boys, Bruce and Val followed me. They were trying to make him steady but he was moving frequently.

I must save Kristina and help the boys stop Karl so Kristina can make a clear shot. I thought

I rushed towards Kristina and Stephen. Kristina is using her bow to hit Stephen. While going there, I grabbed a plastic chair. I went closer, slowly. Kristina lost track and Stephen grabbed her neck. When I met Krisa’s eyes, she looked at me uneasily. I simply ran with the chair and by the looks of it, Stephen looked at me. After that when he looked at me, I carried the chair and hit it on his face. The right side of his face is bloody. Stephen let go of Krisa’s neck. Krisa fell down on the floor, coughing. I went near her.

“Krisa!” I screamed. “Are you okay?”

“Yes. I’m fine. I just need to-” She coughed. “I just need to help the two.”

“You’re right. This time, we’ll keep him steady and the boys are in charge of beating him.”

“Come on! Let’s go beat a priest-to-be!” Then, she raised her bow.
