Chapter 14- Please

James POV

I walked with Scorpius over towards our table where I could see Rose watching Preston carefully, he had a grin plastered on his face and I felt my insides twist when I saw what he was grinning at.. Athena.

"Who's my brothers poor next victim?" I heard Violet say as she reached the table just seconds before us.

"Athena is, he was just over here telling her how good she looked and winking at her. Certain people did not look impressed." Rose said and I watched her eyes flick in our direction. I felt rage flare up in my chest. He was not going to treat Athena like one of his other girls. I looked at Athena's brothers, Scorpius's fists were clenched, he had a hard look in his eyes, obviously his older brother instincts had kicked in, Orion on the other hand was smiling and looked calm as, nothing seemed to faze this guy.

"If he think's he's going after Athena he has another thing coming." Violet practically yelled as she stomped over towards the Slytherin table. I watched her go before turning to my fellow Gryffindor's. Dom was saying something as she filled her plate up, reminding me of Uncle Ron for a moment.

"PRESTON ZABINI if you think your going to go after Athena as your new target you have another thing coming! I don't mind killing you, mum and dad could always have another son!" Violet was yelling at him now and the whole great hall was looking at them. I watched Orion calmly tell him he couldn't go for his little sister.

"Calm down Vi, I was just being nice and telling the truth." Preston said calmly looking at his sister and for some reason it made me want to go over there and clobber him. He sounded like a cocky twit.

~~~~ Few minute time skip~~~~

Scorpius POV

"Who has charms with the Slytherin's now?" I heard my sister say from a few seats down. I quickly looked at my table before replying that I did at the exact same time time as Dominique. I looked at James who was staring at the table, not saying anything and sighed deeply. God only knew what was up with him, his whole mood had changed when we'd reached the table.

"We have history of magic with the Ravenclaw's." Said Rose as she and Violet picked up their things and waved goodbye as they walked away. I started pulling my things together, Dominique was doing the same while Athena waited. James still hadn't moved and clearly I wasn't the only one to notice.

"Do you have Charms to James?" I heard Thia ask in what I would think to be a very timid voice for her.

"Yes is that alright with you?" James snapped at her all of a sudden coming back to life looking angry as but as soon as the words were out he hung his head. I shook my head, what the hell was his problem today.

"Um sorry, yes of course it is." I watched my little sister say quickly tripping over her own words, she had a calm unaffected look on her face but her eyes showed he had hurt her feeling's I wanted to clobber him. "Um you know what guy's I'll just meet you there, I need to get there early and ask mum something." She said quickly and we nodded as she walked away quickly. Didn't take long for Dominique to start laying into him.

~~~~ Time Skip, Few Minutes Again ~~~~

James POV

I was rubbing my head after Dominique smacked me and I'd definitely deserved it. Dom, Scorpius and I had just started to walk out of the Great Hall when we heard a blood curdling scream echo down the halls. All of a sudden I was running and I could hear foot steps behind me, running with me hard and fast our foot steps echoing down the halls. Thats when we reached a sight like I'd never seen and I felt my blood run cold. No.. No, anyone but her.

"ATHENA, ATHENA!" I heard Scorpius's frantic cries yell beside me as he charged forward, disarming Avery in the process. Dominique was frozen in place behind me and I turned towards the other foot steps and seeing Professor Granger and Professor Malfoy running right past me, towards their daughter, Orion only a few steps behind and for once he looked furious. I couldn't help it as I started to walk towards her.

"Athena honey, come on baby girl." I heard Professor Granger say pulling her only daughter into her lap, tears falling from her eyes.

"What did you do to my sister you low life scum!" Orion's angry voice filling the hall.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Everyone jumped as Athena's cries echoed through the hall, I could hear Dominique crying behind me, Scorpius and Orion looking like they could kill Avery. Professor Malfoy walking towards him with a look of pure fury on his face.

"What spell did you use on my daughter MR AVERY!" He yelled as his daughters screams started to get louder.

"Sectumsempra." He said with no remorse and I couldn't help myself as I moved towards Athena's side. There was blood everywhere and she was covered in cuts, blood seeping out everywhere.

"Hermione we must get her to the hospital wing now so I can heal her, remember when Potter did this to me, she'll be in a lot of pain." I heard my name and guessed he meant my dad, I would have to ask later. At his words I couldn't help but lean closer so I could look in her eyes, they were fluttering open and closed.

"Athena, please don't go, I'm sorry please stay with me Thia!" I said pleading, just before her eyes fluttered shut and stayed shut. It all broke lose then. Professor Malfoy summoned the Headmistress who took Avery away, before he came and scooped up Athena and started to walk or more like run towards the hospital wing. Professor Granger cleaned up the blood with a flick of her wand, before following after them quickly. I stood up from where I'd been on the ground and looked around, Dom was crying next to Scorpius and Orion who looked lost and like they both might lose it and not far behind us I could see my little sister, eyes full of tears, as she walked towards me and I pulled her into a hug. I could see my mum with a sad look as she walked away with professor Longbottom in the direction of the headmistresses office.

"Were going to go to the hospital wing, are you coming James?" Scorpius said and I nodded, pulling my sister along with me as we followed behind Orion and Scorpius.
