Chapter 12- Deep Breath

Hey everyone sorry about the very late/slow update. I've been dealing with a sick toddler and a very busy house and Easter. Hope everyone had a good Easter!! So here it is and I hope you like it, I feel like I've been dragging this out a bit and I'm very sorry!! Been trying to find out if I can transfer my other stories from my old watt pad account because I've forgotten the password for it and just don't want people thinking I've stolen or copying them. So hopefully soon, anyway enjoy.

Chapter 12- Deep Breath

Athena's POV
I woke up with a jolt to the sound of my own screams filling our dorm room. Breathing hard and heavy I looked around the room and was confronted with the faces of my three very worried friends.

"Thia are you okay?" Rose said her voice full off concern. I reached up and wiped the sweat from my forehead, I could feel myself shaking and I pulled my quilt up around my shoulders, fighting the urge to pull it over my head and cry.

"Yeah I'm okay, just had a bad dream. A very bad dream. " I said thinking about the bits and pieces I could remember. My mothers screams, my brothers lifeless faces, my new found dad next to them, my new friends crying and James... James screaming in pain on the ground. I shuddered at the memories and tried to remind myself that it was all just a dream.

"Are you sure? Do you want to talk about it?" Violet said giving me a kind smile, I shook my head before slipping out from under my blankets and off my bed. I couldn't shake the images from my dream and every part of me felt the need to see everyone of those faces to make sure it was just a dream.

"No it's ok but I'm just going to get dressed and find Scorpius, I need to ask him something." I said smiling at them, hoping they would just let me go no questions asked. I grabbed some denim shorts and a black single top before walking into the bathroom and quickly dressing, I put on a bit of foundation and mascara before pulling my hair into a pony tale. I walked back into the dorm room to my friends getting their clothes together for the day, Rose was also organising her bag for our first day tomorrow. I pulled out some white and black vans and socks and quickly put them on before smiling at my friends and telling them I'd see them later.

I quickly started to make my way towards my brothers dorm room and knocked on the door before walking in. Scorpius was standing next to his bed pulling a shirt over his head and looked up at me surprised for a moment before smiling. I walked towards him and ran into my brothers arms, feeling instant relief that he was in fact fine, here and most importantly alive.

"Hey Thia what's going on? Are you ok?" He said looking at me concerned.

"Just a bad dream, a really bad one and I just needed to check." I said and he nodded in understanding, not thinking I was being silly. Just then he walked out of the bathroom, damn raved hair sticking to his face and neck, wearing just shorts as he pulled a red shirt over his head and I caught a quick glimpse of what was underneath. I must have started moving before I even realised it but a minute later I I felt my arms wrap around his neck and felt him tense in surprise before hesitantly wrap his arms around me.

"Um morning Athena...." He said and I felt myself let out a breath I didn't realise I'd been holding, his voice was so comforting and it wasn't the screams of pain and agony I could still hear in my head from my dream. Your ok, your ok. Was all I could think. "Of course I'm okay Athena, why wouldn't I be?" He asked looking at me quizzically. I quickly pulled back, oh god I said that out loud. I could feel my face going red, as I quickly let go of him and started to back away.

"Um nothing sorry about that... I've got to go find Orion and my parents... I'll see you later.... Bye.." I said before turning and bolting out of the room. Oh my god I'm such an idiot what in the world did I just do that for. Why did I act this way. Why does he make me lose all sense. I thought as I ran through the Gryffindor common room and out the portrait door.
