The next morning we were all escorted out of the Headquarters and into the city of Pittsburgh. I was really excited, because then I was closer to my family. We were shipped to the old UPMC building which is the Murky prison now.

I attended the meeting inside the Prisoner's Hall with all who were taken captive. I was in the back with Zac and we were discussing over if we could move somewhere else and change who we were, then what would we be? I said that I would want to be Peachefare and he said that he would want to be Waxensaw.

"Hey, Lilly I have a question for you?" Zac asked me as big exploding sounds came from downstairs and upstairs shaking the entire UPMC building.

There were a lot of screams from people as they were running to the steps to get out. I had to get out! I had to get out! Then the smoke started up and the fire started to come up. I made my way up the steps with a few others who didn't burn to death. I bust the door down and ran to the nearest window. I saw people just lining up outside the building to get a closer glimpse of who were still inside.

It was Zac, Sue (The nerdy girl who was in our cell), a few boys, three girls, and I who were still alive. We couldn't get down from the explosion. I was starting to worry that this might be it for me. I didn't want to die now or ever. I was only 16 years old. I had to do something. I grabbed my phone and started to call *100 (The new 911 number). They said that they were on their way. I heard yelling and chanting from outside bystanders. I saw many other people who were taken captive running outside the building.

The heat started to increase to a level where I thought that I was going to burn to death, We were trapped on the 56 floor. The explosions occurred on the 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, and 60th floor, so we had to get out of here fast. The building started to shake as people started to run away from the building.

The only way out was to jump out. I had to take a chance. A really slim chance, but it was worth it. Wait a second! Helicopters were in the sky at the time and were landing on the roof! All we need to do is make it to the roof!

We started to climb and run to the roof from the stairs. The stairs started to crumble and fall apart. The boys behind us were laughing and I was about to punch them in the face. As we made our way to the exit the stairs crumbled and fell back as the back wall gave way and fell to the pavement below. I turned around to see the boys falling out of the building and the three girls were holding onto the other railing. We grabbed them and headed for the roof.

The wind was like a knife just cutting away from my face. It was just the 6 of us and we made it to the roof for the helicopters to find us and take us to safety. I just witnessed 2 deaths and I felt nothing. I should've cried, but I didn't.

For it was their time.

My time is not now.
