Chapter 17

After we landed our Helicopter I took Sue and Zac out to lunch with me, my mother, and Gabe. Gabe was looking better. His arm was in a sling and my mother was not happy with me. I had to ask my mother why she wasn't happy with me. I just survived an attack on the Murky and now she doesn't approve of anything! Something must be wrong.

Oh! I know what's wrong! It's Audrey who's her problem. Audrey has been missing for at least a week now and I had done nothing about it. I have to find her now, but I need help from my friends. I need help for some people.

I could ask Sue, Zac, and Gabe. Maybe May, Aunt Sarah, Riley, and Clara when I find them. I just need my mother's approval. "Hello mother" I say softly to her as she sips her coffee. I then realize that we are in the old Zeke's Coffee. I remember as a child coming her and getting a caramel from Mr. Rhodes son himself, Zeke Rhodes.

Seek was still working here. I saw him across the counter as I walked in. Now, I have to ask my mother for this permission, so I can go find Audrey and everything will be back in place.

"Mother can I go out into the world and get Audrey back to us?" I asked my mother hopefully.

"Yes, but only on one condition." She said as I thought that this was one of those cliffhangers in movies. " You must bring her back and get Dad back home safely." She said like it was easy as Pi.

"WHAT! Dad? You expect me to travel across the country to get Dad?" I half screamed and half said, because how the heck do I go from Jawan (Formally Japan) and back in time?

"Why travel to Jawan when he is already here?" She asked like she knew the answer.

I know that she knows the answer.

And I'm going to find out.
