Chapter 18

As we all exited out of the Zeke's Coffee Shop I had to ask my mother my questions. Why is Dad so close and where? I mean my father has been over seas for about a decade. 10 years is a long time for a girl to wait for her Daddy. After Audrey was born he took of and we have never saw home since.

My brother thinks that he is dead, but Audrey and I believe that he is out there and no with Mom on our side we can get to him.

"Mom, Why is Dad so close and Where is he?" I asked my mother as we made our way to the street.

"He's in Philadelphia with your sister. She and Him were both taken captive. I feel so bad. All he was doing was trying to save Audrey and he got caught and thrown into some awful place.

My mother was crying. She usually never cries. She is a very strong woman. But this is not the woman that I know who she is. She's been a whole different person after Audrey went missing. I have to find out many things, but now I have to find out how to get there.

We made our way to a bus and I slept the entire ride till we made it to our house. I enjoyed that ride mostly, because I was asleep the entire time.

When we walked into the house, I saw May, Sarah, Riley, and Clara and people that I knew from the street, school, and just around town. As we made our way to the kitchen my mother looked at Sue for the first time.

"Um hello. Who are you?" My mom asked to Sue.

"Hello I'm Sue Daniels from Greensburg, Pennsylvania. I am a Glassbook well was a Glassbook at least."

"How did you meet my daughter Sue?" My mother asked again like it was an interrogation.

"I met her in custody." Sue said all softly so no one could hear.

"IN CUSTODY!?!? Where?" My mother screamed as she had that look of disappointment again all on her face.

"In Pittsburgh, but for my defense we got out of there before we could've died." I exclaimed at my mother.

"Okay, now we are a big happy family. Now all we need is your father and sister. Let's get to work." My mother said.
