Maria's POV:

I smiled when Severen and the guys ran off. I wish I could see his reaction. I honestly really did like him. In fact, I still do, but I thought he had a girlfriend so I didn't have a chance. But now I realize that I might...

"Jesse? Jessica!"

I snap out of my daydreaming to see Lily waving her hand in front me. "Oh sorry. What did you say?"

"I was asking if you could tell us a bit more about yourself. And try to throw a hint in there so we can guess."

I started to think. After thinking for a few moments, I wrote. "Hmm. Let me think. I wouldn't say that I'm a stalker, but I know a lot about you all."

"Oh really?" Justin said. "Like what?"

When I was done typing on my phone, I pointed to him and Lily. "You two dated since ninth grade, broke up twice, and now I can tell you two are together again." I looked to Kim Dalen Ben, and Rachel. "You four actually met Maria at a church camp called Super Summer. Then around the tenth grade, you guys moved to Houston and started going to her church and school."

I started fiddling with my ring that was on my right ring finger. This ring came from a very great friend named Danielle Renard. Me, Lily and, well, everyone who knew her called her Danny. But she gave me the ring the day she moved to Willis in the 9 grade. Over the years, we saw her a bit, but when we got into the tenth grade, it got harder and harder to have time for her to come over or vise versa. But we text, snapchat, and ooVoo all the time. But ever since I "died" I haven't talk to her. I want to ask Lily how she's doing but I don't think she's talk to her in a while ether. I usually rub it when I miss her or when I'm nervous. And Lily knows that I use to do that so maybe she'll notice. The last time I saw Danny was when I..

"Hello?" I blinked, snapping me back to reality. I noticed everyone was leaving and getting out of the pool. I looked around to see Seven and the other three who went with him walking back over to us. I smiled, knowing that he was who I thought he was or he wouldn't be freaking out. With happiness I mean. I frowned again. Why must my life be like this. I looked back around to see Justin looking at me like I'm deaf. "I asked if you were gonna join the glee club. We're all going to, you can too if you want."

If I join, then my uncle will beat me even more since I'll be more than likely to tell them, "I don't know guys. I'm not that good at dancing. And, well, I'm mute so.."

"Awe come on! Just try out. You won't regret it."

"Fine, I'll try out." I told them so they would shut up. After we talked for a bit longer, I told them that I would text them tomorrow. After leaving, I went home to find my uncle there. Luckily, I brought extra clothes or my uncle would have killed me for showing off skin to people. No not because it'll attract boys, but he thinks that if people see me not completely covered, he thinks that my friends and family can figure out who I am since I have a scar on my breast that occurred during a fire that happened in a small part of my old high school in tenth grade. It didn't do much damage but I passed out and when I woke up, my cousin, Fletcher had pulled me out of the building. When I got to the hospital, I noticed a huge mark on my boob. After time, it faded but you can still see it, just not as much.

As usual, my uncle yelled with his drunk breath and his huge fists'. After the usual beating, I painfully walked upstairs and started a shower. You know how some people cry all their boyfriend problems or that they are no-long-the-popular-one or whatever? Well, I do the same except that it's uncle problems I cry about. Unfortunately, my crying is loud, so my uncle knows that he succeeded in the beating. I went to bed the same why I have been for the past year: curled up in a ball crying softly.
