Chapter 15

Severen POV

"Do you remember the last words I told you I told her?"

Yah, why?" A very curious Lily asked.

"I heard Jessica speak for the very first time today at church. And guess what she said?" When everyone ether shrugged or shook their head, I said, "She said: 'You're so beautiful.'" I said the last part with wide open eyes. Everyone jumped up for where they were sat and started screaming!

After everyone had calmed down, Lily said,
"So, Jessica is really.."

Justin popped in. "Amanda?!" Amanda was a girl who has had a major crush on me since we've been in middle school. She was also a good friend of Morgynn and them, but she turned into a stalker when Maria 'died' and she kept trying to get me to ask her out. The day Maria left, Amanda came up to me and kept saying that I shouldn't use "your so beautiful" on a chick who's not even gonna stay around to be with me. I told the others about her and now they think she a creep, which she is but..

But that wasn't who she was. They got it all wrong! Jessica is Maria! I still can't believe it!! All this time, my best friend has been walking around the school with us all this time and I never knew! I feel like slapping myself. I look to my friends who were still showing their reactions since they still believe that she's 'Amanda'. I'm not gonna tell them that it's Maria till I get more prove cause this could be just a sick joke meant for only me. I showed a small smile so they wouldn't think I was happy about this.

"Dude" examined Ben, "why the fuck are you smiling?!"

Crap. "I'm smiling cause it may not be Amanda. Yah at first I thought so, but how come if she knows who I am, why is she not throwing herself on me?" I heard murmurs of "you may be right" and continued. "I'll try to get more info on her through her friend Daniel from church. It would be a bit easier if he came to our school but I have no idea how that could work."

"Oh," shouted Lily, "why don't we ask him to join our glee club! Anyone can join, not just people from school. Besides, if he gets in, he could come for the after school stuff." After everyone agrees, Lily and Justin go out to find him at the address I told them. After everyone had gone home, I laid down on my bed. Was she really Maria or was I just imagining things? I really miss her but this is probably one of those things people have when they can't move on from their old love or people who they really care for. What's it called? I don't know, whatever. The point it's I have to find out if that is really her. I won't get my hopes up too much but I need to see if it's true.

That night I had the best dream I've had in a long time: Jessica's true identity really was Maria and her voice at tomorrow's addition. She was singing the song she sang before the accident. She sounded as beautiful as that day I heard her. Right before I woke up, my dream entered the part when I leaned in the kiss her.

When I woke up I couldn't go back to sleep, so I walked over to my window that faced my neighbors window. I opened it up a little bit and I heard her singing. I couldn't make out the words but somehow the way the girl, whoever she is, sings, puts me to sleep, as if she were singing a lullaby for me.

Maria POV

Right as I saw his head touch the window seal, I knew that he was asleep. For the past few months I would sing to him when he couldn't sleep. We live behind him a bit far but I know he can hear me when I sing. He's the only one that I've sang to ever since that day, but he doesn't know that it's me, or Jessica, that's singing.

After I decided to go to bed, I closed my window, taking a last look at Severen sleeping peacefully in the window of his bedroom. He looks so cute asleep. I am able to see his bangs are in his face. I suddenly see his lights turn on and I quickly duck away. His dad, every night Seven can't sleeps and comes to the window, picks him up and takes him back to his bed. I know it's weird when your dad (if your a guy) picks you up to put you to bed but I think it's cute.

The next day, information hit me like a rock. No, seriously. Right as I remembered that today was the additions, my uncle punched me in the face.

"About time you worthless piece of crap. We have to go over some rules for your addition today. Hurry up and get downstairs and make breakfast."

After taking my ten minute shower, I picking my outfit(number 4) and went downstairs to make breakfast. After making eggs and bacon and serving them to my uncle, I was going to head to school when I heard, "Come here bitch. We need to discuss today's main issue." I swallowed hard and walked back over to him. He pointed to a chair in front of him, indicating for me to sit. Once I do, he starts.

"Ok Maria," my eyes widen when he said my name. He hasn't said my real name since I first moved in with him and Ally, or if she's in the room, "I know that I've been harsh on you and that's only cause you deserve it. If you hadn't asked for us to take you home from your stupid breakup then we wouldn't have been in that car wreak and she'd be able to give birth, but as you can see that happened and I blamed you." I felt like I was gonna cry. Anytime he brings this up he starts hitting me again. But instead, I got a- smile?! "But I decided to let you leave." WHAT?!?! "You can tell your friends and family who you really are. But!" He saw that I was so happy and excited and he put his pointer finger up. "But you still have to live here until your Junior year is over, ok? The last day of school, you move out. Does that sound good?"

"Oh my god!! Yes! Thank you!" I knew not to hug him or he'd change him mind, but, by blowing my mind, he opened his arms to pull me for a big huge hug. Wow this is really scaring me. I hug him back so he doesn't yell, then after a few more seconds he let me go. He looked me in the eyes and I realized something: there was a catch. I back away a little and give him a what's-next-on-your-demon-list look. "What's the catch?"

He signed in defeat. "Alright, you got me. In order to maintain our 'abuse' secret, you can tell everyone who you are but you will need to keep your distance from them so they won't see the bruises."

You have got to be kidding me! "You have got to be kidding me!"

He smiled his evil smile. "Or you can just expose your OTHER little secret." My eyes widen.
