Maria POV

As I walked to school, I couldn't help but think about what to do. After my uncle told me that I have to ether tell them and keep my distance from them or not tell them until my 'secret' passes. I held my stomach, not knowing how my family, or even Severen, will take it. I can't have anyone find out, or they may never like me. They won't care about me, just like my uncle said they would be like.

When I got to the school, I got a text from Daniel:

Brofrombackhome: Yo Mimi! I got great news! I'm signing up for glee club too!

MysteryMimi: No way! That means that we can preform together!

Brofrombackhome: You wanna do the same song?

Daniel wants to sing the song that I last sung back home. I admit, I really want to but I know that Severen and the other will be in there and I don't know if I want to tell them right away.

MysteryMimi: What if Seven and the others are there?

Brofrombackhome: Don't worry. It'll only be your mom. And she didn't see you sing so she doesn't know what you sound like.

I didn't respond right away. But right as I was about to start typing with I saw that he was already typing something.

Brofrombackhome: Are you sure you want to sing? I mean, you haven't even started talking and your about to try singing. Seems kinda hard.

MysteryMimi: trust me. We can warm up right after school, before it starts.

Brofrombackhome: alright. See you in homeroom.

MysteryMimi: ok. L8er bitch

Brofrombackhome: later hoe

I love this boy. We can curse at each other and we won't mean shit.

The whole day I kept thing about what I wanted to do. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to think, cause by the time I could even do the pros and cons it was already time to rehearse with Daniel.

I walked inside the choir to see it empty except for Daniel, who was tuning the guitar. I walked over to him and waved to get his attention. When he saw me, he signed, "What up girlfriend?"

"Hey loser. Are we about ready to start practicing?"

"Yea. Hey, I meant to ask earlier but how do you know that you can sing when you haven't tried in almost a year?"

I smirked. I grabbed the guitar from him and strummed a couple of strings.

"If you just realized what I just realized then we'd be perfect for each other and we'll never miss out on each other now."

I stopped and looked at a jaw-dropped, eye-widened Daniel. "How did you do that?!?!"

I giggled. This is the first time I may have ever said something, but it'll be worth it later, "I've been practicing. Singing and talking." Again, his jaw was on the ground and eyes were popped out. I started laughing hard that my stomach started hurting. What he may think it's cause I'm laughing too hard, but my reason is much worse. I haven't told him nor anyone else. I know that I'll have to give a reason as to why I'm gonna be avoiding my friends and family or why I don't want to hang with them as much anymore. "Come on. Let's start practicing. We start in ten minutes."

After practicing, we got called by my stepdad to the auditorium to preform. As we made our way to the stage, I started getting the goosebumps I had the last time I sang in front of anyone but my mirror. Deep breaths, Maria. Deep breaths.
