"Will you explain it to me?" I asked. She shook her head and sighed.

"Not now." She added.

"Hey kiddo." My dad walked up to me and I got up to give him a hug.

"Coffee?" He asked. I nodded with a smile. He walked to the tiny kitchen and arranged two cups of coffee. The other men around him gave him a pad on the shoulder. They were happy for him that he could see me again. He sat back down and handed me the cup.

"How is your new job?" He asked.

"No, I wanted to hear from you first. How have you been doing lately? Did you fix the problem with the bench in the park already?"

"Well, kid, it isn't easy to ask the bench back you know."

"But where did you sleep previous nights?" I asked.

"Here." He answered with a smile. I smiled brightly. He finally reserved a bed in this shelter.

"I'm proud of you, dad. You know you don't like to sleep on the streets, you should register more often."

"Oh well, sometimes I forget to. You know that isn't easy with my drinking problem." He confessed. I nodded. My dad had been homeless since I was very little. He just didn't want to compete in this civil society, or so I thought. I could only see him once or twice in six months. He was the sweetest person I had ever known. My mom didn't really like to talk to him, but the old man always inspired me more than anyone else. He was the happiest man on earth, even under his circumstances.

"Okay, enough about me, how is your work?"

"Amazing. But kinda stressful."

"Already? why?"

"Uhm, I kind of have a problem." I spoke from the depths of my heart, I hadn't even thought about it myself.

"I'm afraid that I'm starting to like one of my patients." I said. My dad knew that I was a lesbian. He knew everything about me, I told him everything.

"Is that a problem then? Who's the lucky girl?" I asked.

"Well, uhm, her name is Demi, only a month younger than me, highly distracted, hurts herself a lot... She has a troubled past no one knows about. And she's like, breathtakingly gorgeous and she has this body that makes me swoon and has these cute freckles and beautiful natural eyelashes and UGH." I said while running out of breath and letting my head fall on my hand. My dad laughed.

"You really like her, don't you?" He said.

"I'm kind of not allowed to since she has to obey me and all. But yeah, I'm afraid so. I need help." I placed my chin in my underarms.

"Well, I'm sure she finds you pretty too." He said. We both knew that we couldn't be sure about that. I shrugged my shoulders because it wouldn't matter anyway.

"She probably isn't even a lesbian. But somehow I do know she has feelings for me too." I said while playing with my cup. I sighed.

"Oh come on, kiddo. At least try to figure out then! What could happen if you guys got a relationship?" I hadn't even thought of that. It'd probably even be better for her to be in a relationship. But it was so highly out of all proportions. She didn't even have friends. Would she consider me as a friend?
