"I don't understand..." I mumbled as I swiped my finger everywhere around the screen. "Why did you lie? In fact, why did you lie for the whole week! You're just using your best friend and faking it!?" I noticed Rachel was covering her face in her hands.

"I'm sorry..." She sobbed quietly, "You see-"
"Look, I'm sorry too for being a bit harsh. But, I don't understand why you keep on avoiding the studying by having alone time in your room for three hours or something".
Finally Rachel looked up at me, her eyes red from tears and she was sniffing. "I was studying". "No you weren't" I replied. "Yes I was. Only..." "Only?" "... I did it without you..."

I couldn't believe it. I backed away. "Wait-so all that "alone time with Micah" you had was just you studying!?"

"Y-yes..."
I walked forward and sat next to her. "Explain. Explain please. I'm confused".
She sighed and gulped. "O-okay... Well-you see, I wanted to study without you... B-because I knew that you would know more and I would never understand". She covered her hands over her face. She looked up and had a different emotion. "But now I know more than you! I WILL BECOME THE SUCCESSFUL ONE! I WAS TRYING TO MAKE YOU LACK STUDYING!!! Hahaha!"

And she slid down the banister, leaving me sitting on her bed, hugging the kirby plushie and starting to worry if she would be better at me in the tests.

"How could you big bwother?" My little sister, Lucy asked me that night as I came home. "Shhh! Shut up Lucy!"

I sat on my chair and opened my laptop. This is stupid I thought. Falling for a dumb trick that one of my friends has done for me. How could I? I could've just studied myself...

Then Monday came. Teddy was in the library, so was everybody else, everybody except me and a few other students that were in my year. I arrived at the library and realised a bunch of kids were crowding around someone. I had trouble getting through all the children. I was going to the science books until I heard voices asking a familiar name. "Rachel! Rachel! Tell me! Please!" I walked towards the kids and saw her. She turned around and saw me. "Oh. You. I thought you were somewhere else, probably crying because I know more than you!"

"You've only done it for one week!" "Who cares! You have only been doing this ever since the tests came didn't you?" "I've been doing this ever since I was six!"

"Liar. No one can be that determined. No one can be that desperate just to get some sort of silly job."
I was shocked. That was the final straw. Astronomers aren't silly... "You don't understand! You wanted it all to yourself didn't you!?"
I stomped out of the library, frustrated at her. Who cares if she had fine, curly, shiny brown hair, pink heart dangling earrings, green emerald eyes, sparkly eyelashes... Who cares if she had anything! I knew more than her! I knew more than she would ever know! And insulting all those astronomers is like insulting a very important person in my opinion.

She isn't a true astronomer... Making fun of it... A silly job-yeah right...
