Caleb's POV
I've been lying in this god damn hospital bed for over two hours now, do they not understand that I'm finale and I just want to go check on my princess?
'Excuse me, nurse! When am I able to leave I've been here for ages and I'll I was told I need is a sling?' I shout over hoping I can leave soon.
'We'll we haven't yet signed your documents off and due to the fact we found you unconscious we'd appreciate I if you could stay for a few more hours just so we can analyse your recovery so we know you're capable without help.' The nurse tells me fixing up a new sling.
'Okay, can I go to the other room to visit my girlfriend yet? I really need to know she's okay!' I plead.
'Caleb we can assure you Miss Marin is recovering just fine! We'll tell when she's ready for you to go in.' The lady explains.
'Okay. What injuries does she have? Is the baby okay?'
'Caleb you can relax! Hanna's injuries aren't vital but she's fractured her leg and we've given her stitches but that's only the only major injuries. I can assure you the baby is fine but for now you both just need to rest!' As the words leave her mouth my heart flutters.
The hospital say my little family is okay but in my eyes perfect.
*a few hours later*
I open my eyes realising I had fallen asleep and to my surprise I had no other than Ashley Marin sitting besides my bed.
'Oh Caleb you're awake.' She says looking down at me.
'Um yes Mrs Marin... Is everything okay? How's Hanna?' I stutter.
'Call me Ashley, seriously Caleb you can call me Ashley I would prefer it! Hanna's doing fine she's still resting.' I feel so intimidated by how she looks down at me.
'That's great. Do you know when she's allowed to leave?'
'Uh they said soon but she'll be weak and we need to take a wheelchair as well because her knee is in a cast and it's dangerous for her to be on crutches being pregnant and all!'
'Yeah ha- wait...' I pause, did she just say pregnant, she knows Hanna's pregnant?
'Caleb I know about the pregnancy.' She confirms. I raise my eyebrows in response, I didn't know Hanna was going to tell her!
'Oh.. Listen Mrs M- I mean Ashley, I'm really sorry. I love Hanna and I promise I will do my best to make her happy! I'll be by her side every step of the way!' I hurry to explain.
'I know you want to do what's best Caleb but I want you too remember, Hanna is fragile! She needs your constant care honestly I want you to watch out for her, okay?'
'Yes of course! I will try my best and I know I'm not perfect- far from it but I'll be there for her.'
'Thank you Honey, I can tell you're a good kid. And congratulation on the baby.' She smiles what I can only recognise as her being sincere.
'Thank you. Congratulations to you as well. I mean you're going to be a grandparent!' I grin back to which Ashley laughs.
A nurse informs me that I can leave the hospital now as I've been here for hours and they're confident that I'll be okay. With that they put my sling on and I leave with Mrs Marin to Hanna's room where I can see my beautiful princess lying asleep. The bottom half of her leg to just above her knee is surrounded by a solid pink plaster. Immediately I walk over to the bed and place a kiss on to her head before sitting down and taking her hand into my free one.
We sit and wait for around 10 minutes when Hanna starts to awaken. As her big blue eyes the realisation hits me that this is my girl, my everything. I love her with all of my heart.
'Caleb you're okay!' She smiles when she sees me.
'Of course I am.' I chuckle squeezing her hand lightly.
'When can we go?' She asks obviously wanting to leave as soon as possible.
'Right now Miss Marin!' A voice who I recognise as the nurse from earlier alerts us.
'That great!' She smiles pushing her self up whimpering in pain.
'Hanna lay down.' Her mother says rushing over to her.
'Oh yes! You're probably going to feel tender for the next few days Hanna. We'll get both of your painkillers and medication for the next few days, Hanna you'll need to be careful because of the baby and we'll obviously get you a wheelchair but you'll need assistance from you friends and family through the period you have it on, we've still got you booked in for your scan Thursday as well if that's okay with you?' The nurse discusses checking he has told us everything.
We're given our medication and Hanna is provided with the wheelchair and with that we leave. Due to Hanna's car now being ruined we're getting a lift to Hanna's with Ashley- not to mention neither of us can drive at the moment.
When we get to the house I help Han into her wheelchair and take her inside where we all sit and talk about this morning.
'I'm so sorry about this morning Hanna' Ashley announces.
'It wasn't your fault I should've let Caleb drive.' I place my loose hand on Hanna's shoulder.
'No I mean for what happened before you left...' sorrow fills Ashley's eyes.
'I was being over sensitive.'
They talk things over about some argument they had and hug everything out.
My phone buzzes signalling a text. As I open it I notice a text from Toby
'Mate do you want to come over, a few drinks and take out? Just me and you. Be good to catch up and talk about the baby?'
'Who was that?' Hanna asks.
'Just Toby he wants me to go round.' I inform her.
'That'll be nice! What time?'
'Soon. I won't go Han, I'll stay with you, I mean it's not fair after what happened today!' I say typing out a reply.
'No no go Caleb I'll be fine! I'll invite the girls around or something.' She smiles.
'Are you sure?' I'm not sure about leaving her.
'Yes babe I'll be fine!' She smiles pushing a kiss against my lips causing Ashley to cough awkwardly.
'Sorry.' I smirk.
'Well you best be going. Lads night in!' Hanna chuckles.
'Yeah I guess. Text me if you want and I'll be straight over!' I tell her giving her another kiss before leaving to go meet Toby at the brew where he'll drive me to his.
