Chapter seventeen

Hanna's POV

School drags but I somehow make until the end. When that final bell goes so do I. I feel free, it's ridiculous but it's been an awful day.

'Who's up for a coffee at the brew?' Aria asks forcing her books into her bag.

'Sounds good!' Spence says smiling at her phone the other girls nod in agreement.

'Han?' Aria calls looking concerned.

'No sorry, I'm going to meet Caleb.'

'That's cool, tell baby daddy I said hi.' Alison laughs.

I dramatically roll my eyes. 'Whatever.'

We all leave school and the girls start walk down the road, that's all but Emily.

Emily is sitting on the floor next to me, I told her to go but she insisted she waits until I'm with Caleb because she wants to make sure I'm okay.

'You're still coming around later, right?' She tilts her head like a puppy full of confusion.

'Yeah.. Yeah I will, I'll text you when Caleb leaves.'

'Great!' and with that my boyfriend's car rolls up in front of us.

'I'll let you go then! Love you chick' Emily pulls me into a hug before running down the road to catch up with the others.

'Hello Miss Marin.' Caleb smiles walking towards me.

'Good afternoon Mr Rivers.' I laugh.

'How was your day?'

'Eh okay, how was yours?' I have to fight the urge to bury my face into his shirt and tell him everything.

'Brilliant now I can finally see you.'

Caleb pushes my wheelchair to the car door where he helps me in before folding the chair up and throwing it in the back of the car.

Sitting in the drivers seat he starts the engine and drives to his house.

'How is it, the baby?' He places his hand on my thigh.

'Good I think. They missed their daddy though' I smile rubbing my small bump

We stop the car at Caleb's and we get into the house where he has a meal laid out on the table for us with 7 tealight candles centralised arranged into a heart.

'Oh my god...Caleb!' I squeal.

'Oh my god Hanna' he mocks

'Shut up! This is adorable.' I laugh.

'Only the best for my princess!'

'Babe' I smirk as he pushes a kiss to my lips.

He pushes me over to the table then heads over to the stove bringing back two plates of food.

'Bon appetite!' He chuckles.

Impressed I take a fork full of carbonara into my mouth.  'Woah, did you make this yourself!'

'Of course! Well it tried to then had to buy a ready meal..'

'Oh my god' I laugh at the Crimson face boy in front of me.

'I tried!'

'And that's all that matters!'

We eat our food whilst Caleb tells me about how he wants to get a crib for the baby that he saw in some old store and he thinks we should paint the room magnolia.

'That'd be gross! I have it all planned out Caleb trust me!'

'It's just and idea' a laugh escapes his lips.

It's now 7pm and cuddled up to my boyfriend who's looking at baby clothes with me.

'What about this one?' I ask as a picture of a white baby grow loads on my phone.

'Yeah that's cute but what size?'

'Uh we could get the 0-3months one?' I suggest

'Yeah add it to the basket' he nods.

$70 later I look up to Caleb.

'Babe these are just the first few outfits how are we going to be able to afford the nursery stuff and other clothes?'

'I'll just have to do extra shifts or get a credit card it'll be fine Han.' He pushes a kiss to the top of my head. My worries melt away when I'm with Caleb.
