The following morning, Louis woke to the sound of someone knocking loudly on his door. As he jolted out of bed to open the door, a boy with curly brown pushed himself in.
"Good morning, Lou! I brought the cookies!" The curly haired boy exclaimed as he held up a package of Oreos. He observed his surroundings before turning his attention back to Louis, "I know we couldn't eat them yesterday 'cause I had therapy, but we can eat them today! Ni said you forget lots of stuff n' I said you wouldn't forget your promise! Right, Lou?"
Louis was beyond confused by not only the fact that a strange teenage boy was in his room, speaking as if he were only a mere child, but because he didn't know who Lou was. Before he could point any of this out, there was a light knock on the door, and another stranger invaded the comfort of his room.
"Good morning, Louis!" The strange man walked inside the room and gasped when he saw the curly haired boy. "Harry? There you are! Niall's gone mad looking all over for you." The man patted the top of the curly boys head, and for some odd reason Louis wanted the man to acknowledge him as well.
Louis noticed something in the curly haired boys behavior change as he looked up from the floor. The boy seemed to be in a trance as he stared at the man, but it didn't last long until he was on he knees sobbing like a child. He continued to whimper the name Niall over and over again, and at this point, Louis would do anything to make the boy stop crying. Although he didn't know the boy personally, he truly hated it when people cried in front of him.
"I-Is Niall mad?" The curly haired boy whispered.
The man smiled and shook his head, "Niall could never be mad at you!" The man kneeled down beside the boy and pulled him in for a hug.
"Gotta, gotta fine Niall," the curly haired boy mumbled into the man's shoulder. He frowned at Louis and whispered, "Liam? Why is Louis acting like that?"
There was something about the innocence in the way the boy tilted his head to the side, and stumbled over his words. He was so small, so pure, and without thinking, Louis stuck his hand out for the boy and intertwined their fingers. He felt only glee when the boy giggled at Louis' gesture.
"Brush your teeth first, Louis," Liam said as he stood himself and Harry up.
Harry crinkled his nose at Louis and gagged, "Yuck!"
Louis chuckled at Harry's childish behavior and headed off to his bathroom. As he walked away he remembered something he forgot to say before, so he turned around and stared at the curly haired boy playing with the sleeves of his sweater, and at the man who was leaning against his door with a large grin on his face.
"Almost forgot!" Louis smiled brightly at the two as they looked up at him, "Good morning Harry and good morning Liam!"
