Louis gazed out of his bedroom window with a blank expression on his face. A single tear slid down his cheek as he watched the sky cry. Whenever it rained, Louis, always seemed to be in a terribly sad mood, and no one could quite figure out why. The door creaked open but Louis hadn't seemed to notice. Not even after he felt a sudden dip in his bed. It wasn't until the stranger let out an off putting whine that Louis turned his head to the side- gaze fixed on the strange petit boy, who's face was contorted into one of discomfort.
"I-I wanted to visit you," the boy mumbled, as if it wasn't quite obvious to Louis enough. "I d-didn't tell N-Ni though. Do you t-think he'll be crossed with m-me?"
Louis frowned in confusion as to what the boy was talking about. He shook his head and pointed at the door, "Get out or I'll call someone to come and get you. I'm too tired for this...this meaningless visit with a stranger like you!"
The petit boy whimpered and reluctantly stood up. His legs shook as he walked towards the door. By now, Louis had returned his attention back to the window, however, it stopped raining. Louis' frown deepened as he sighed in frustration.
"I-I wanna g-go outside. Just t-to dance in the rain once m-more."
Louis snapped in the direction of the distant voice. The curly headed boy clutched onto what appeared to be a stuffed animal, that Louis hadn't noticed, as he squinted at the window.
"Then go!" Louis snapped.
The boy gasped before running out the room. Louis sighed in relief and threw himself back against his pillows, and even though his eyes were heavy his mind still raced with thoughts. As if when he closed his eyes he could envision a series of events mapped out like puzzle pieces. It frustrated him to no end, for he could never solve the puzzle.
A slight knock on the door jolted Louis awake, and he was more the prepared to yell at the boy once more. However, this time it wasn't the boy, but two men. Both dressed the same and both with an equal look of distress and concern. The blonde one glanced around the room with panicked eyes. While the brunette held eye contact with Louis.
"Hello, Louis," the brunette said, his voice laced with concern. "By any chance have you seen-"
"A boy with curly brown hair in a gown, carrying a teddy bear...he's about this tall." The blonde added, using his hands to gesture the approximate height of the boy he was talking about.
Louis furrowed his brows in thought before responding, "Now that you mention it...a boy with that exact description was here only a few minutes ago. I chased him away though, he was so intrusive and bizarre."
The blonde exchanged a look with the brunette before glancing one more time around room. As if hoping the missing boy would somehow magically pop up.
"Why? Is he in trouble?" Louis asked, a bit more concerned.
"He left his room without notifying his caretaker Niall over here," The brunette sighed, patting the blondes shoulder.
"He...He did mention a Ni? I don't understand. Who are you people? Why are you here?" Louis was beginning to panic, and this caused the brunette to slowly approach him. The brunette crouched down beside Louis's bed and smiled gently at him.
"My name is Liam and I'm your nurse. Everything's alright, Lou," the brunette whispered, his voice was calming in comparison to Louis's rapid heartbeat. "Louis, the boy who ran off, do you have any idea where he might've gone?"
Louis stared passed Liam as his mind raced with thousands of thoughts. All somehow pertaining to the curly headed boy. Dull green eyes clouded Louis's mind as he envisioned a boy standing on a rooftop, dancing in the rain. Louis remembers calling after the boy in hopes of coaxing him from the edge of the roof. He couldn't quite remember his name—
"Harry," Louis uttered, removing the covers off of his body and getting out of his bed. "My Smalls!"
"Louis?"
"He...He said he wanted to go outside. I know he did," Louis muttered as he walked over to his closet and got out a coat, "We have to find him. I have to apologize." Louis gazed down at the floor as guilt washed over him.
"You're positive it's Harry you're talking about?" The blonde asked.
Louis turned around and pointed at his head, "I could never forget my Smalls. Now come on you two!"
