Eden's POV
Tomorrow is just one sleep away, one sleep away until I get to move in with my new family. I'm not gonna miss this place really, I might miss some of the people but I'm not going to miss the noise, smell or sight of the care home. I've gotten sick of my firm bed and sick of the colours of my walls, I just want to be part of a family and I know in my heart that I'm meant to be a Fletcher.
My final meal at the care home isn't anything special, just sausages and mash, I mean, don't get me wrong, I love sausages and mash but it's just not the same as some of the other meals we have here. It's slightly surreal too as I stand over the bathroom sink brushing my teeth before bed, it's hopefully the last time that I'll have to brush my teeth in this bathroom which is shared by the rest of the kids here and if I'm completely honest there is nothing that puts you off brushing your teeth then seeing tooth brushes and random bathroom equipment littered over the little room. After brushing my teeth I slowly make my way back into my room, once in there I quickly unwrapped my dressing gown from my leaving me in just my pajamas before getting into bed and slowly drifting off to sleep with only one thing on my mind.
Tomorrow, I'm leaving here to live with a brand new family.
~
I woke up with a start the next morning then imediently jumped up a little and quickly threw on what I was referring to as my 'moving clothes', this mainly just consisted of a pair of black leggings I had managed to squeeze over my cast and a quoted white top which read 'life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.'with a plain dark grey hoody over it. On a quick look at the clock which was hung high above the bedroom door I noticed that it was only 7:10, Tom and Gi are coming at 9, this means I have under two hours left in this room, in this entire building. At 9am this morning I'm leaving here for good.
After pulling my hair up into a messy bun I began to hobble down the stairs and into the kitchen, finding a seat next to Sadie at the big oak table before grabbing one of the slices of toast which was presented on a plate in the middle, I then covered it lightly in butter and smothered it to death with cheep strawberry jam. My glass was filled with water by Clair before she started giving me a pep talk about today. Through the past couple of months being in this care home I've never once see someone be adopted of fostered, I suppose I'm just one of the lucky ones!
"Are you excited about being adopted?" One of the younger boys who I don't even know the name of shouted from across the table. He smiled widely whilst milk started to dribble from his mouth.
"Erm..." I began to think of my answer before Clair managed to interrupt me so I didn't have to answer the question myself.
"It's a big day for Eden today, let's just give her a bit of space,Adam."
The boy, who happened to be named Adam went back to eating his cereal which looked completely flavourless.
"I wish I was being adopted!" Sadie said from beside me. Over the past few weeks I had gotten a little close to Sadie, I think she's the only thing I'm actually going to miss about this home.
"Your time will come!" Clair smiled in the direction of my new friend whilst spoon feeding one of the younger children their sloppy porridge.
"Yeah, it's ok for some people to just turn up and get adopted straight away." One of the older girls commented. "Even if they are crippled!" She murmured under her breath so silently that it was hardly heard. I quickly wolfed down my slice of toast before leaving the kitchen and moving slowly into the room that I won't be calling mine in only one hour.
-
After an hour the time was finally here. As i sat on my bed looking at my final box of belongings and the cheep black suitcase that held my clothes I heard a car come through the gates of the car park, after hobbling over to my window quickly I soon realise that it was Tom and Gi with Buzz and Buddy, they were ten minutes early. As they were getting out the car Buzz saw me and waved wildly at the window, I replied with a big smile and wave. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door and the sound of laughter came through the door and cascaded up the stairs filling my heart full of love.
"Eden!" I heard Clair beginning to walk up the stairs and just a few seconds later Clair, Tom, Gi, Buzz and Buddy were stood in the room which I have had to call my own for the past few months.
"Hey sweet girl!" Gi greeted me whilst putting her arms gently around me and engrossing me in a hug, careful not to squish Buddy who she happened to be holding. "How are you today?"
"Excited!" I replied with a wide smile as Buzz crashed his little arms around my leg, something which I've been used to for a little while now.
"MORNIN EDEN!" Buzz said excitedly in his little cockney accent before beginning to run around my now almost empty room. He must have been excited as it was a new place, neither him or Buddy have been here before as whenever I've seen them we've been at the Fletcher house.
"Good morning Buzz!" I smiled back at the two year old that I can now call my little brother. "And morning Buddy." I smiled as Buddy smiled widely at me from Gis arms.
Tom smiled in my direction then hugged me quickly, before ducking down and grabbing one of the boxes which contained my belongings.
"Is this all that's to get in the car?" He smiled at me whilst trying to balance the cardboard box on his knee. He pointed quickly with his fingers to  show the small suitcase that was also beside the box.
"Yeah, this is all that's left from the land of Eden." I giggled quietly. I could hear noise beginning to erupt downstairs from all the kids who were by now just getting on with there regular Saturday morning things. Clair must have left after directing Tom and Gi to my room as now she was no where in sight.
"You ready to go?" Gi asked hopefully.
"I'm ready." I beamed at her.

It's such a bitter sweet moment leaving the place you have calls home for so many months. This place was the first place I came after the accident and it was the place that I spent hours crying following the trauma following it. But as happy as I am to leave this place, moving onto a new home with a new family just feels like I am leaving my parents behind. It feels like every step I take is two step forwards and one step back, or should I say two hops forward and one hop back.
I took one last look around the room I had to call mine for a few months before slowly making my way out of the door following Tom who was carrying my stuff, Gi was behind trying to force Buzz out of the room, by now he had continued to run around so Gi had to chase him out of the room whilst still holding onto Buddy.
"Well Eden, your finally leaving!" Clair smiled at me slightly when we finally reached the bottom of the stairs. She smiled lightly before opening her arms wide for a hug.
"I know." I smiled back at Clair, she's been like my mother since I've been here, she is not as good as my mum is though, or as caring as Gi. I slowly watched as Tom walked out the house with my things and placed them into the back of their car.
"Have fun yeah!" She smiled before quickly giving Gi a hug and waved as Tom came back into the room.
"Of course I will." I smiled back, I waved quickly and then walked for my final time out of the care home. Quickly followed by Buzz who was obviously very emotionally moved by this whole experience by the fact that he was just running around and requesting to be put into the car. I turned around to see the door closed and Gi beginning to also walk out into the car park.
"And now you are officially Eden Elise Fletcher!" Both of my new parents smiled.
