"Shy? Shadow?!" "I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Derik's voice echoes. "I need to talk to her. Shadow?" She suddenly awakens for her daydream. "Shy?!" What did you just say? She looks out the window to see Mick ironically enough standing in the shadows of a tree, in the front yard. "What are you doing here?" she asked leaning out the window sill. "Please, Shadow..." She quickly cuts him off, "You need to go home, you shouldn't be here!" she yelled from up stairs. This was dangerous territory even for someone as strong as he was knowing that if cot in the sun he would burn. "Shadow, please talk to me." he pleaded. "Tonight if you leave, now!" She barked back. He looked at her, suddenly, before anyone knew what had happened he was gone. Derik who is no longer holding Mick back, runs into the house and up to the room where he hoped a Shadow would await. As he knocks on the door, he asks "Are you okay?"
The room is dead silent, he peeked in scanning the room,"I'm coming in." He looks around and can't find her in the room. Now he moves to the closet, but she's not their either. He looks around and remembers how she used to sit out on the roof with her old friend Elijah. How he envied the much older male. He can barley see her bright red hair blowing in the wind. "What's wrong?" He asks. "Someone's pulling up the driveway." she says tilting her head back. "Okay," he says with an attitude, crossing his arms, "got it, your avoiding the question. Look I'm going for a run, tomorrow night with some of the others, if you want to come?" He insinuated turning walking out of the bedroom and down stairs.
As the car pulls into view, Hunter turned and lays down on the roof Good enough time to tan, right? A man and women get out of the truck. "Derik, oh it's been ages." a real deep voice says. "Who's that smell?" The females squeaky voice says abruptly. Oh god. She thinks to herself. "It's Shadow," he answers only for her to start up the stairs. The female moves for the front door, Derik grabes her arms, keeping her from going any further. "It might not be a good idea for you go up there. She's had a ruff couple of days." Hunter jumps from the fifteen (15) foot porch roof. "Thank you Derik. Hey Mak, Filesha how have you been?" She questioned hoping they had a casual answer.

Please forgive my tardiness.
And feel free to tell me who you guys are rooting for. Mick who's trying so hard to win her back? Derek her best friend? Or Elijah long gone but apparently never forgotten?
