" Thank you Ms. Horsemen for letting me stay the night." The hazel eyed dark haired man spook to her. " It's not a problem. And please call me Shadow. Believe it or not you would have done the same for me at one time." She smiled back. Looking deep into her eyes he whispered "I can see why." He begins to lean in, and so does she. And just before their lips meet it begins to rain. They laughed as they scurry into the house.
The sun slowly falls and Hunter awakes from her nap. Her dream nothing more then a quickly fading memory. Shit, I'm going to be late. She jumps out of bed and into a pair of black skinny jeans and a thin neon yellow hoody shirt. And out the window she went, and hit the ground running, down the dirt road. A road she had run down many times in the past.
She makes it up the driveway and cut through the graveyard. The last sliver of sunlight seems to take forever to fade away. Mind way through cemetery she smells. The grass, and blood? Mick? And now wet dog? Derik! She puts her nose in the air, gotta get a beat. She closes her eye's, and smells again, but now the sun has set. Before she can figure out where the smell is. Her head lurches forward, she gasps for air and her feet are no longer touching the ground. Oh shit!
Hunter opens her eyes to see that she's moving, fast. And she's being held. All she did was blink and suddenly she's at Mick's house, the porch light, lights up the downstairs hallway. Colors all over the floor.
"Mick, what the hell?" she says frustrated, at the base of the stairs, as he puts her down. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I just needed to talk to you,...alone." he paused before finishing in a low sad voice. "You know your faster, but we're still bigger then you." she said sad like, rasing one hand to his face, he nuscles in close taking in her, body heat and warmth. "You know, he's going to be right behind us." He started to lower his head. "Shadow, I don't know what to say or do?"
As she picks his head up their eyes connect, and his cold skin makes her shiver, "I don't know if there's anything you could say to fix this." He looks deeply into her eyes, "Please tell me if there's a chance, for me to fix this. Any chance for an us?" He quietly pleads. Slowly losing his mind.
