ch.27 Blood Lust.

   She runs for a little while clearing her mind, but only one conclusion, she has to turn back. "I'm only back because I need to know what I'm getting myself into." Jt, Kat, and even Vincent jump to the sound of Hunter's voice. Jt grabes the gun but Hunter kicks it out of his hand, throughts him up against the wall. "Next time, I won't even think twice about killing, the person, who pulls a gun! Is that understood?" She looks over her sholders. Vincent moves toward Kat, Hunter moves her hand to his throught. "No. I'm just trying to keeping her from pulling hers. I believe you!" he says with one hand out infront of him. "You really are her, Shadow. Derik has told me alot about you. Him and I where close. He loved you. Just like someone els we both know." Vincent says. She brakes her eye contact.

   "Who?" she asks slowly letting Jt go. Peter was the first name that popped into her head. But when she hears foot steps and no heart beat, she knows. Elijah the thought alone, sends her rushing to the door, she flings it open. Her heart stops at the sight of him. And she finds herself in his arms, for the first time in decades, "I thought you where dead." she says water dilling up in her eye's. "I had to make sure that you where save." he says holding her close. Vincent comes up behind her form inside,"We shouldn't be out here."

   Inside Elijah asks Hunter what she's been doing as of late, and of course she tells him. Everything about her ex-vampire-boyfriend and how he cheated on her with someone who claimed to be a friend, informing him on where she was living and how Derik was being over protective. He only smiled and said that Derik was only trying to protect her. Before going on to say, "And you, why is this the first time you found me? Why did you not come forward?"she ask. He turns away, "Your hungry, I will find you something to eat?" Elijah says moving for the door. This was his way of finding of if she had feed. "First of all by something you mean someone. And second of all, your avoiding the question." Elijah can help but smile at the thought, of her fighting her 'blood lust'
