Elijah just appears behind Shadow, she crosses her arms. "You stopped back there? You stopped for him?" Elijah asks hiding his displeasure over the current situation. "No, Elijah. I stopped because someone needed too." No I stopped well I still had the chance. I stopped for you. She thought looking back at him well still facing forward. He moves forward putting a hand on her shoulder, she turns to face him. "I don't know what to do? Mick, Mack, Filesha, my pack, and..." she stops. "Oh no I'll let you finish that one." Elijah say, Hunter turns to be face to face with him. "He just wanted to help. To keep me safe. And now he... he's gone. They took him because of me."
Elijah puts his hands on her upper arms, and lowers his head so they are face to face. "No Hunter this isn't your fault." he said. "I get it but I was there." she says frustrated. "I get it." he comments back. "No, Elijah you don't. The hole reason I was there was because Taliea knew, she knew that something was going to come for the pack." Hunter's eye's turn sad and fall to the floor. "Taliea came for the first hybrid. I was suppose to watch him, to keep him safe. I let myself fall for him, and because of it I was caught off guard. I was to blinded by my affection for him and in return people died. I missed Peter spying on us and informing to the government. Because of me I might add." she says in hushed tones, as she remembers back. To the Hail house. "They came because they found out what I was. Because I scared them they found me to be a threat. They fallowed me tracked me. Came for me. Hunted me." Her voice broke in the end.
Dark brown hair and dark brown eye's, Taliea (Derik's mother) puts one hand on Hunter's left shoulder. "Shadow, promise me that you will protect him. Promise me, you will protect him with your life! Their coming for one of us! Don't let it be him!" Taliea says in hash whispers, before she let's go and turns to walk out. "Taliea, wait. How? How do I protect him?!" Hunter asks rushing forward. "I don't know, Shadow, but I know this." she breathes in deep, "I know you love him, and that's why I'm asking you, to protect him. He is the next leader of this family this pack. " Taliea says sad. "Taliea, what's going on?" Hunter asks concerned, Taliea's eye's fall to the floor. She turns to walk away without answering Hunter's question. "Taliea, wait!" Hunter says and Taliea turns back. "Don't let him get hurt because of me." Hunter waits for Taliea to node her head, before she continues. "I give you my blood." Hunter says and Taliea's eye's turn an electric shade of blue, and Hunter's turn red. Derik can be heard out side in the yard.
Such a promise is blinding, if anything where to happen to Derik because of Hunter. Taliea would have the right to claim, what was called 'The Walk Of Blood'. It was an old lycan tradition, where if the promise was broken. Taliea's pack would have the right to call to their goddess and to punish Hunter for failing. The walk of blood, is where the lycans from the offended pack stand in two lines and who was to be punished, would be stripped, and forced to walk in between the lines. Where they were swatted and clawed at, by different member's of the offended pack. If what the punished did was severe enough, the goddess would also strip them of rank and title. Making them an Omaga and there for, fare game. As the lowest of the low, the Omaga would either be tortured or even banished, to fend for themselves. Omaga's where hunted by hunters and stray wolves alike.
