"So, Bravada, I have to get going but it was nice catching up with you." Kyle says to me, holding up his hand.
"Oh- Okay, I will see around you." I wink at him, to lock in the human interaction.
He smiles at me and starts walking away. I see him get smaller and smaller in the sea of humans, bye bye Kyle.
Now, how am I going to get home? I look around for someone I know, but then it hit me like a meteorite. I don't know anyone.
Oh my stars! I'm lost! On earth!
I'm gonna get the plague. Or the black death. Or the unthinkable, the masculinity. Oh Nova! No! My breathing increases, how was I going home?
I sit on the bench, my head in my hands, lips pouted. Stars.
I won't ever get back to Evans. How could I be so stupid? How could I not ask for a way back home? On Nova, I'd be a joke.
Noven Princess lost on Earth. Ugh.
As I think these thoughts, the cars on the road all clear up. And across the street, guess who I see!
Kaylie.
I shoot up, and dart across the road, gaining some looks from nearby watchers. She even looks at me crazily. I smile at her, and strike up a conversation.
"Hey, Kaylie. What is it that you are doing?" I ask her, as she starts walking alongside me.
"I was heading to Evans place. I'm meeting Chris, and Jones there." She says, not looking at me one bit.
"Who's Jones?" I never heard of the figure, no one spoke of him at Evan's home.
"He's my friend. And he's gonna be at the apartment. What's it to you?" She asks me this time, stoping in the middle of the sidewalk.
"Oh, nothing. And hey since we're both going over to Evans, let's go together."Smiling at her, I point of her to continue walking.
After that it was silent. She did not talk to me not once, and there were many chances. As we made it to the building, a wave of relief washed over me. Finally home.
I dart up the steps, and go to the door. But there's a male standing there, with Chris. Chris waves at me, and the male looks at me twice.
Maybe it was Jones?
Why were they standing outside the door? I didn't ask them this, but I just grabbed the knob and turned it. The door opened to reveal Evans who was sleeping on his living room furniture.
I walked over, poking his head. He woke up with a smile on his face, grabbing my arm.
"So how was Kyle? Did he help in any way?" He asks me, forgetting this morning.
"Oh- so now you want to talk about Kyle." I send a sharp smile to him, as he lets go of me.
I sit on the chair next to him, as Chris, Stella, and maybe Jones come in. Why did they take so long?
Evans greets them, and they all sit with him. They invited me to come and socialize with them, but I was way to tired to hold a conversation. I excused myself after finding that I was falling asleep in the chair I was in.
I walked over to Evans' room, and ploped onto the bed. Once I hit the white sheets, I was out like a star.
At first the dreams were peaceful.
I was dreaming about being back home on Nova. and my parents were still alive. And Evans was there, and so was Kyle.
I t was like it was normal for me. To wake up, get dressed with the capitals, and meet Eos, Evans and Kyle, in the mess hall. We ate, and talked and had fun.
But things became dark.
I realized my parents were dead.
And I was still on Earth, trying to help Nova.
And my people were dying, as I was sleeping.
But it got more intense than that.
It was like the hallucination I had when I was out for those days. But it felt more real this time.
I'm in my regular bed, and the sun is shining though my window. Then the rain starts to come down, and there's loud thunder. I see the shadows of the trees outside.
I get up out of the bed, and step into something wet.
I looked down in horror, it was blood. And it was coming from underneath my bed. I slowly peeked my head to see the source of the red liquid.
It was My mother. I shrieked! And she blinked at me, more blood forming.
I grabbed for her hand, and she grabbed me, pulling me into the blood. And before I could even think, I'm drowning.
I was drowning in my mothers blood.
Tears were forming on my face, as I sunk under.
There I was, in a red room. No windows, no door. No exit.
A loud thud came form behind me, and I turned around to my worst fear.
My father, his nightgown, soaked in blood. Looking ate as the light was going out in his eyes. I tried to run to him, but I was to slow. A
As he was dying, he was sinking into the floor. Not me, I was still there.
Red room, no exit. I broke down, falling to my knees, curling into a ball.
My mother, and father, gone.
I looked up and the room had changed. It was all white, and there was a door next to me. I shakily, reached for the knob, holding myself up.
I opened the door, in fear of what was coming next.
Then I saw it. Eos, and my capitals, layed out one by one.
One single gunshot to the heart. They were dead before I even got here.
Is this what it was going to be like? When I came back to Nova? Just death? Before I can finish my thought, I feel myself shaking.
A dream. That's all it is.
The words echo in my head, and my eyes flash open.
Evans was shaking me, keeping me from my dream. I grab onto his arms, and let out a shaky breath. His look changes quickly at me. He caresses my cheek, and places his covers over me.
"It was just a dream, please, calm down." He says to me, "Go back to sleep"
"I-I can't!" I tell him, he scoops me up from underneath the covers, and shifts me over to the side, letting himself get into the bed.
"I'll stay here, until you feel better okay?" He reassures me, his arm draped around me.
"Just stay with me okay?" I finally ask him, I can't be alone tonight.
"Okay." He smiles as he kisses my forehead, and gets comfortable.
