"If, if I had a brother I would know it!" I scream at him, getting up from the couch and focusing on the map.
"Babe, calm down, we think that your memories have been-" Evan starts to say but I beat him to it.
"Wiped. I have been getting bits and pieces back, but that does not mean he's my brother!" I raise my voice again, turning to look at the people behind me.
"He remembers it. All of it. Nova, being there, crashing here." Chris states, not daring to look at me. Was I mad again?
"You don't look anything like me, or mother or father. Explain that." I ask him, crossing my arms in the process.
"When I crashed here, I was dying but someone else was dying, the owner of this body I switched bodies." He lets out an awkward chuckle, and gets up to greet me.
"I- I didn't even know that you were dead! I don't even remember you! I didn't lose you in the first place!" I shout at him, hitting my fists into his chest.
"It's okay, I remember, and I can tell you all about me." He wraps his arms around me
---
"She's taking a nap, we need to talk." Kyle comes around the corner and greets the group.
"About Nova? About Bravada?" Jones asks him, pointing to the map her made earlier.
"Everything she told you, I need to hear it." He sits himself down between Evans and Chris.
"Nova is in a war, North versus South, she came here for an answer or a solution. But there isn't really one, besides trying to talking it out." Evans lays out the details to him, as he gives him the run down on his home planet.
"She can't do that, they'd kill her." Kyle gets up, pacing around the living room "We only have so much time before she has to go back."
"So much time?" Kaylie asks him, no doubt curious when the aliens will go back to the mother ship.
"The falcon timer, will be destroyed if she doesn't go back in time. Leaving us here." He explains, taking a look around the apartment.
"Where is it? She came here with only the clothes on her back." Evans tells him, confused.
"I think, It leaves a mark in her mind, we will ask her when she gets up." He nods to himself, and stops pacing.
A scream erupts from Evan's room, and Evans, Kaylie and Kyle rush into the room. They find Bravada, deep in her sleep thrashing around.
"It's another nightmare, she has a lot of them." Evan whispers, holding Bravada to the bed.
"Do you know what it's about?" Kyle asks, keeping himself away from his sister.
"Her parents, her friends, and she's starting to remember everything." He says to him, smoothing out her hair.
"Ok, Kyle do you want something to drink? Or something to eat, me and the guys were going to head out." Kaylie reaches out to his shoulder, tearing him from his thoughts.
"Yea, I need to step away for a bit." He answers her, and they leave the room.
---
My eyes shoot open, and I see Evans holding me. I feel him.
"You were screaming, again." He tells me, letting go of me and laying down next to me.
"I'm sorry, it was the attack. When I was little, I got hurt, because of who I am." I murmur to him, my eyes blinking back tears.
"Bravada, this horrible thing. These horrible things keep happening to you, it's not okay." He sighs, I turn my head to see him close his eyes.
Has he not been getting sleep lately? Was it because of me?
"Can you go to sleep? I don't want Kaylie to be mad at me for your exhaustion." I say lowly to him, she was just in the other room.
"Bravada, your an alien." He says, turning his head to meet mine.
"I know." I speak back, forcing a smile on my face.
"And you are sad all the time." He speaks again, only thins time my smile drops.
"I know.."
"A-and you have this bad life," He keeps looking at me, saying these words that hurt.
"Evans." I muter, but he is still speaking.
"And you try to hide it, how sad you are."
"Ev-"
"How invisible you felt."
"Stop it."
"How it hurt to lose your parents."
"Evans st-"
"How it hurts that after they died, it was always sunshine."
"Evans!" I finally yell at him, leaning up on my side.
"And how broken you are." He finishes his words, and I can feel a tear running down my warm cheek.
"Please stop." I say, my voice cracking as I do.
"Bravada, I can't stop!" He leans up to face me, eye to eye now.
"Why?!" I scream at him again, trying turn my sadness to madness.
"Because all of these things are you! The sadness, the broken parts, the rain, Nova." He lays himself back on the bed.
"So what? What does that mean? Why did you say all of those things?" I wipe my tears, looking away from him.
"You going to leave soon, to save your planet. That's who you are." He says, a hint of fight in him.
"I don't even have a solution. That is not who I am." I finish my words, a small sniffle coming from my nose.
"It's who your going to be, a savior." He tell me proudly, I lay back down next to him, eyes straight to the ceiling.
"Okay," I reply, not really knowing why.
"And I think that's why I'm falling for you." He says loud and clear.
On Nova, love is something special. It's between two lovers, two friends, two siblings. It cannot be forgotten, and when we fall in love we fall hard. We don't have arranged marriages, but we do have soulmates.
They can be found, in a moment of doubt, or fear. In a moment of weakness. My mother and father fell in love as my mother was being transferred to a Pelicii death center.
She was of royalty and so was he.
He helped her escape, and in that moment of fear, and weakness all they had for each other was love.
I don't now how things are on this planet, but what I feel is not on the same level as humans. Evan though I'm half human, and that may or may not level the playing field. But, I have felt it before.
My Trustee, Eos.
I was a small girl, and may have thought that I was in love.
But I never acted on those feelings.
He had Deniya, and once again I was alone. I had only myself to blame for my loneliness. Everyone I had loved had left, or not felt the same way.
So why does this feel so different?
It's different with him, a lot different.
"Bravada?" He asks me, looking over to me.
"I think I'm falling for you too." I look over to him and that's how we stayed.
Me and Evans laying next to each other not saying a word to one another. He had already gotten to known me, and I was getting to know him. I looked back in to his eyes, not saying anything.
No words.
No speech.
Just the fall.
