The room was silent, and the tension in it was high.

After the guards caught the southerners mid- attack, they brought them back here. And the royal southerners are here in a conference room with me, and the officials of Nova. We are here to work out a treaty, so that the people of Nova do not have to live in fear.

But why should we create a treaty with the people who want nothing but to harm us?

I was sitting across from the southern prince, who seemed mortally pissed. His eyes were bloodshot, and his cloths were ripped.

Being the first one to speak "Why would we agree to a treaty with you vile people?" He sneered at me specifically.

"You planned an attack on the whole planet, we are not the vile people. But we can overlook that," I grabbed the stack of paper in front of me, reading it over.

"It is typical, of you northerners to overlook things. You do not understand that somethings cannot be overlooked." He waved to someone over my shoulder, and it was Adhara.

"Things like what?" I asked the royal, as he whispered something to my trustee.

"The pelicii war, not a day goes by that that isn't overlooked. Take a look at you." He makes a smile to me, and it does not seem genuine.

"Everyone in this room knows of what happened, so what are you saying?" I ask him again, if he was using my life story as some tactic he was going about it wrong.

"Nothing is overlooked. If we stay, we will look like criminals, in everyones eyes." He says this, and looks over to Adhara.

"May I ask, why you are so enraged with the North? What did we do to you?" Everyone in the room falters, except me and Adhara.

He takes a look around, "No one has told the queen of the tragedies her throne has inflicted upon us?"

"Speak." I commanded him, and he sat back in his seat.

"I do not listen to commands, you are queen yet you know nothing!" He slams his hands on the table, causing everyone in the room to shoot up out of their own seats.

"How about we take a break, calm our nerves." I remarked, and everyone in the room filled out.

I was still in my seat, as I pushed the papers away from me. As the last person left the room, I heard the door open again. It was most likely a servant coming to clean up, I can save them the trip and clean up myself.

"I can clean the table. It isn't much of a mess anyway." I lift myself from my seat and turn around to look at the servant.

"I'm not here to clean, I'm here to help you." I was met with Kyle instead of a servant, and he took the seat next to me.

"There is something that the others are hiding from me, about the southerners." As I say this, his mood changes. "What is it?"

"The southerners, lost a royal daughter, to the war." He lets out a sigh and continues, "And that's why they are at odds with us."

"But, why us? This is a safe haven, we were not the cause of that." I shook my head, trying to think of other reasons.

"It was before we were North and South. And the king didn't do anything for them." He seemed empathetic to them, "He gave them a short investigation. That's it."

"But what else could he have done?" It didn't seem like there was another choice for our father.

"It's all one sided Bravada. He didn't want attention on Pelicii, or they would find out about mother." By this time, Kyle seemed more stressed than me, but he was not the one making treaties.

"What if I step down?" When the words leave my mouth, even I get a sense of the unknown.

"Why would you step down? Who would take over?" He peeked over to me, and he knew it was coming.

"You are oldest, and you see more than one side. I'm just a little girl, who knows nothing." I push myself up for my set again, ready to leave the room, "You would be an excellent king."

"And you?" He questions me, already halfway to the door.

"I'm not fit for ruling, I'm better somewhere else." I smile to him one last time, and go through the door.

I know too little about the planet I am ruling and the people on it. I have been left in the dust, ruling what seemed to be my planet. But really it will never stop being my fathers. And a non- knowing  girl cannot rule a whole kingdom by herself.

The throne was always fit for Kyle, even though he was gone.  I will help him with the treaty, and when it is done I will return to Earth with my friends. And from there, I will talk with Evans. And I will make a choice. Earth or Nova.

I walked down the corridor, and made my way to the secret library. It was weirdly silent, even though all the people I know where in there. I opened the door, and the situation was clear. Kaylie was pinned to the wall, a knife too close to her neck.

Eos, the Capitals and my Earth friends were on my right with their hands up in surrender. The prince was the one holding a knife to Kaylie's neck.

"Nice of you to join us, now close the door." He voiced to me, and I did as he said. "Good, now that I have you here-"

"I know, what my father did. I am sorry, but we are not the same, we are not." I was pleading, but he did not want to hear it, getting closer to him.

"I will kill your human playtoy, be silenced!" Kaylie lets out a yelp, and I back up from him. "Now, your coming with me."

He reaches into his pocket, and grabs a smooth grey metal with a blue button on it. He presses the button, and a portal like nothing on Nova opens up. This was new technology, and who knew what the cost was.

He throws Kaylie down, and Deniya grabs her and pulls her over to them. He has one foot in the dark blue portal, and has his arm extended for me to take.

"Where are we going?" I ask him, taking his hand. "Will you kill me?"

"No, and we are going to see the truth." He answers me, but before he can pull me in, Adhara pulls my hand from his, and tackles him into the portal.

Adhara and The Prince are now gone from the library, maybe even Nova. And it was all because I couldn't hold on.
