"Yeah, whatever." I sighed as I marched up the stairs, sketchbook in one hand and my Ipod in the other. "I mean it, Sarah!" My dad called from downstairs but I just rolled my eyes at him and slammed my door shut. It had been nearly a week since I had come back from Jesse's sister's house, or I guess I should be calling her Brooke now. My mom didn't really care whether I came back home or not, so my father was the one yelling at me all the time. I sat down at my desk and pulled my headphones over my ears. I loved headphones a lot more than earbuds, since they actually stayed on my ear, rather than falling off. I had lately been in love with Blink182, I know it's an old band, and I have known about them for a while now, but I just started loving them a few months ago. I Miss You started playing on Pandora as I sketched a figure with long black hair in his face, wearing a black dramatic suit while holding a rose. I was drawing Gerard, and I guess I hadn't realized it until just now, when I looked up to change the station, I sighed, closed my sketchbook (which was also my diary) and tossed it on my bed. I then stood up and started walking down stairs to the living room, flipping through channels trying to find Supernatural. My phone buzzed, so I lifted it gently out of my pocket and answered it. "Hello..?" I asked, a little unsure. "Hey Sarah." Gerard spoke quietly. We hadn't talked since the funeral and I think I knew why. "Look i'm really sorry about what I said at the funeral, I do love you, but i'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable." He finally said after a long pause of silence. I cleared my throat. "You didn't make me feel uncomfortable." I smiled, but knew that he couldn't see me. He quickly cleared his throat, obviously embarrassed. "So I was wondering.." His voice trailed off, but suddenly came back. "Do you want to go see princess fro fro and a tiny little shit?" I couldn't help but laugh. "Uhhm, what?" I said, laughter still in my voice. "Me and the boys are meeting at Graphic tomorrow." I thought for a second, trying to remember any "boys" that were friends of Gerard. "Boys?" I finally asked. He took a short sip of his tea or whatever he had and looked back up at me. "Frank and Ray." I thought even more. I finally realized.
"Oh, you mean those kids from school?" He nodded and sat back in his chair. "Yeah, the kids from school."
