Sage is walking
Through the grass with
Turmeric. Sage is still
Beaten up over Thistle.

Sage: (Looking down at his feet)...

(Tarragon and Mandrake come up behind him)

Tarragon: Hey!!! Sage!!!

Thistle: (Her voice echoes in Sage's ears) Sage?

Sage: (Turns around) Thistle- (Looks disappointed and turns back around)...Hey...Tarragon.

Tarragon: (Looks at Mandrake, worried)...

Mandrake: (Worried, shrugs back)...

Tarragon: Hey, Sage, Turmeric. We were all going to go get dinner...wanna come?

Sage: (Sighs) Turmeric, you go ahead, I'm going to...go...(Hops up into the trees and escapes)

Turmeric: Ah! Sage, wait!

Tarragon:...

Mandrake: I've never seen him so down before...

Tarragon: I have...(Sighs) This is like when Caraway and Safflower passed on...

Turmeric: (Worried) Shouldn't you do something then?

Tarragon: (Scratches his head) I did...but I don't think I can reach him as I am...Turmeric, why don't you give it a shot?

Turmeric: Me?

Tarragon: (Nods) You're our newest team member and...Sage is your partner. He's going be on the cliff. Good luck.

Turmeric: (Determined) R-Right!

Scene 2
Sage is sitting on
The cliff and sighing.
He holds the lock of
Fur around her neck that's
With a feather and a flower.
Turmeric comes up behind him.

Sage:...

Turmeric: Sage?

Sage: (Turns around slowly) Hey...Turmeric,

Turmeric: (Sits next to Sage) Are you alright?

Sage: (Curls up into a ball) I'm fine....

Turmeric: (Gets mad and uses Rock Throw on him) !

Sage: (Is shaken) W-What was that for?!

Turmeric: (Mad) How do you think Thistle would feel, looking at you and seeing you mope around!

Sage: (Stands up) Well?! What else am I suppose to do?! She was the one who actually made me feel something again! I don't want to lose her!?

Turmeric: YOU ALREADY LOST HER!

Sage: (Taken aback)...

Turmeric: While you sit here, feeling sorry for yourself, the world is going to continue moving! It's going to keep going whenever you like it or not! There are people on this team who are doing their best to hold their own against all odds and yet you're just sitting there thinking about Thistle!

Sage: She was my partner-

Turmeric: Well I'm your partner now!!! (Starts crying) How do you think it make me feel...that you act like I don't matter...

Sage: (Has a realization moment)....(Runs up and hugs Turmeric) I'm sorry...you're right...Thistle wouldn't have liked me to do all of this...I need to move on...I can't just keep looking at the past for answers...

Turmeric: Sage...

Sage: Turmeric...

Thistle: (Her ghost appears behind Turmeric in Sage's view) Sage...Hold onto her closely. I'm always with you. Never forget that. (Smiles) You always will be...my hero, so please protect Turmeric and be her hero too, okay?

Sage: (Starts crying and holds Turmeric tightly) Turmeric...I'll do my best...to protect you...and become your hero. That's what Thistle would've wanted...

Turmeric: Sage...lets go see her tomorrow. (Pats him on the head) I'm sure she'll be happy to see you have moved on.

Sage: (Looks at Thistle) I...think so too...

(Thistle disappears as Sage and Turmeric walk back to the others)
