after two days of waiting for an answer, the phone rang but it was 5:30 in the morning Sean got out of his bed and slumped over to the phone "hello?" sean said into the phone, sean would look at me time to time and say 'mhm' or 'yeah' to agree with whoever was on the other side of the phone. Then he put the phone down, looked at me and smiled.. i was very confused so i asked "who was that? what did they want?" Sean looked at me and said "it was the police, they couldn't track tom and the other guy down but they did manage to find the other kids..... they wanted to know if you could help find layla a home." i was so happy that they found the other kids "Arizona?" i asked with my heart in my throat, i promised her i would get her out of there, sean shook his head "they didn't mention her." sean frowned at me for a second "why?" he asked curiously. "i promised her i would help her that i would come back for her, but i didn't, i left her there to die." i started to cry and Sean patted my shoulder. "it will be ok." sean said gently to me, but i knew that it never was and never will be ok.
