chapter 22

I walked back to my room like nothing had happened but i kept looking over my shoulder to see if tom was behind me, luckily he never heard or seen me there. i wonder what toms done with the body, he could've just shot her but no he had to torture her slowly, it made me cringe at the thoughts of her eye coming out of the socket again. I tried to stay calm and forget about it but it was very difficult to clear what happened out of my mind, i didnt think he was capable of doing that. I opened the door to see hitoshi, sean and layla sat on my bed, hitoshi looked at me then ran and hugged me "whats wrong?!" i asked, "we thought that tom had killed you, we heard a girl screaming and you never came back." he cried in a whisper still hugging me. i then noticed that sean had eyeliner and mascara dripping from his eyes in random streaks, layla also had tear stains and wet patches on her sleeves. was i that important? i thought and hugged layla tightly, then i hugged sean, his muscular but gentle arms wrapped around me making feel like i was at home with my brother after finding a dead body. "i was so scared." sean cried and his mascara fell onto my shirt still hugging me tightly.

me and hitoshi went back to toms office and looked to where i placed the diary, it was gone. I looked through the thick alluminum shed doors to see it perched on the small wooden desk, i was going to walk in but hitoshi grabbed me back and then stepped infront of me to grab it. it looked somewhat different, like it had been abused and thrown into the dogs cage. we walked past our sheds and down the small rocky path to the door and opened it, we tiptoed up the many flights of stairs to our door. i walked in and sat down, i peered at the clock on the wall, it was 7: 43pm and layla was asleep. i took the diary and read it out loud.

"I killed her, i don't know why but i did and i wish i never. someone took you and i couldn't find you i was searching and searching for ages and then i found you near the door. I have a feeling that someone is reading the things that i write in you, i regret bringing amy and her 'followers' to my farm she is trouble and i know she is going to make an escape so i have to kill her and fast, until then......"

the rest of the page was ripped. hitoshi and sean said nothing apart from 'goodnight' and we all slept for another day tomorrow
