Chapter 34

"Hey wake up, the phones ringing." Hitoshi said as he pulled the covers off of me, i smiled and rolled around to face him "Then go answer it." i laughed but he just laid there and smiled at me, "Fine i'll get it." Tired, i slumped out of bed and over to the phone, the ringing pierced my ears as i picked the phone up, "hello..." my words were slurred and slow. "amy, get to the station now, we think we found her." joy flew through my body but the mans tone on the other side of the phone was urgent so i put the phone down not even saying goodbye, i put some old clothes on and a small jacket. "whats wrong?" Hitoshi asked staring at me like i was mad, "im going to the station." i said and made my way out the door so quickly that hitoshi didn't have time to chase after me.

The station was cold and dark, tyler and another officer were waiting for me by the reception office. "follow me." the other officer said, his tone dark and his expression was empty, by the look on every ones faces, this was bad news, not the ordinary bad news like a cats stuck in a tree or someones caught a bug, this was devastating news, this was serious. I followed tyler and the officer into a small hospital like room, A girl, red hair that looked black with dirt, laid in the bed, her skin was white but covered in blood and bruises, there was no machine attached to her, no clothes upon her body, My eyes burned with tears as i realised... She was dead, gone. This was real, it was all real and there was no coming back from the feeling that i failed her, i promised her i wouldn't let her die, but i broke that promise, she and many others died because i was too busy living my normal life instead of searching for them, fighting for them...

Hitoshi and Sean burst through the door, I ran towards them and wrapped my arms around them both, air was caught in my throat, Tears poured out of my face, no sound came out of my mouth but more screaming out of my eyes, "im sorry." Hitoshi said holding me tighter as i continued to let the world around me collapse... Finally i gathered the strength to walk towards her bed, "I'm sorry, i really am. I failed you, I broke my promise, I let you die and im sorry, there wasn't a day that went by that i didn't think about you. again I'm sorry." 

Life isn't always happy but it's not always sad either...

hey guys thanks for reading this book, im sorry i haven't updated in like 5 or 6 months, i dont have an excuse for that... unfortunately i couldn't reach my goal of a 1000 word chapter or 50 chapters, i couldn't think of anything else i have no more ideas for this so decided to end it here... thanks for reading and i hope you enjoyed this.
