chapter 31

"we didn't know layla's mum was here, we came here so we could get some updates on what was happening to the other childeren." i said, trying to not sound impatient as it was only yesterday we got an update from them. "like i said the childeren are fine, they're either with their parents, with their new parents or still finding parents. you have nothing to worry about, we have sent over 7 search teams to track down tom, we found his farm but couldn't find anything there apart from this." he handed me a small diary, it was the one with the "murder updates" in. i opened the book to see nothing but ripped out pages and in the back a picture of me, there was some very effortless scribbles reading: "you will never find me" "i will hunt you down" and "i know where you live" just underneath that was my adress. something made me tear up and start having a panic attack. "amy! amy are you ok?" tyler shouted as he grabbed my arm. i stopped breathing and my vision went fuzzy, my last thought was: whats going to happen to me?

i woke up in a hospital bed, my vision was still blurry. My lips were dry and cracked, i needed something to drink. "hello, amy are you ok?" a friendly voice appeared next to me, "no." i stuttered in barely a whisper. "need water." was all i could manage to say. A glass cup was pushed against my lips as i started to drink the fresh water. "where am i?" i asked moving my lips away from the cup. "your in the hospital just a few blocks away from your hotel . you blacked out, you had a fit or as your friends say "panic attack" but you have no injuries and no medical conditions so your fit to go home in a few hours." she nodded at me and walked away, hitoshi ran into the room and crouched beside my bed. "babe are you ok? when can you come home? is it serious?" hitoshi flooded me with questions and my brain started to hurt. "im fine, i can go home in a few hours and no its not serious it was just a fit, you dont have to waste your time crouching beside me go do whatever you need to do." i said qiuetly, my throat still dry. "baby girl i would rather stay in here with you and make sure your ok than go shoe shopping with sean." he laughed and i laughed too.... "where is sean?" i asked curiously. "oh i told him to go talk to officer tyler until your in a fit state to walk." he smiled at me and left me in the room to get some rest.
