THE LOVE HOUSE

CHAPTER ONE

Damen's POV

"Hey Damen! I heard there's a new girl in THE house!"

"Yeah me too. You better get your game on!"

"There is?" I ask. My reputation around here. I need to live up to it.

"Yep." Says one of my best friends, Derek. He lives next door to the named house. Everyone calls it THE house, but in my mind.. I call it the love house.

Ellie's POV

Once you switch places about, oh, eight times, you learn not to get attached. Leaving Alabama doesn't really hurt me. Leaving everyone there doesn't either. On the first day of school usually everyone wants to make friends, and me? I try my best not to.

I look in the mirror at my hoodie, jeans, and converse and I'm ready to go to school. A few strands of my light brown locks are visible, but I have a feeling no one is going to bother to look at the new girl anyways. Ill just keep my head down and go with the flow, like I've always done.

There is one difference this year. I can't help but think that senior years are supposed to be the time of your life. I wanna make friends and have someone to eat at lunch with. I wanna go to a party and get wasted. I want to have the high school experience, but then again I don't.

Sophomore year I made a friend. Not a fake one like all the girls around me had. No. I had a true best friend. A sister. We went shopping and told each other things that we would never dare tell anyone but each other. She was like me. Always on the move. Closed off. Walls up. Head down. Hood on. That's my drill. Well her name was Darien. I don't really feel like talking about our situation, but lets just say I moved, like always.

I walk into the hallways of Westmount High School and can immediately see who the dorks, weirdos, populars, jocks, preps, and who the wannabes are. Me? I'm none. I would much like it if I were to be no one. No one sounds.. Fun.

I walk to the office and get my schedule from the nice little lady at the front desk and try and scribble down my locker number.

I walk to locker 203 and see that I got the most WONDERFUL locker. Please tell me you sensed the heavy sarcasm. I'm stuck between a cheerleader and a jock...who is surrounded by his little football followers. I hang my head down, slip my hoodie on and try to concentrate on being invisible. That cloak Harry Potter had would definitely be of use to me right now.

The jock standing next to me was the typical cocky, popular, rich, and hot jock that every school has. It wouldn't be a true high school without the jock would it?

After all the jock's followers walk away and it's only him left standing next to me, I finally think its safe to reach for my textbook. Maybe I can make a run for it. He won't talk to me and I wouldn't be late to class.

DINGGGG!

okay. Bad timing? I shut my locker and am ready to run when a voice sounds right next to me. I want to ignore it but I just can't. Darn the teenager inside of me.

"You're Ellen right?" Says the jock who has locker 202. Right beside mine.

"Yeah. But I like to be called Ellie." I say, and I am very surprised that I didn't even stutter on one word

"Well nice to meet you. I'm Damen."he says sticking out his hand.

I hesitate but shake it anyways. He was trying to be nice. I have to give him something.
