The Love House
Chapter 11
Damen's POV
"What did I do?!" was the first thing that popped in my head when Ellie walked away after I had kissed her. It was just the way she was looking at the ground and finally opening up a little bit, and the red that was on her cheeks. The way she just blurted it out, like not opening up to me about the seals had been bothering her. That I just might have been on her mind.
I cannot believe I just kissed Ellie Frierson. She was so amazing though. Her soft gentle lips kissed me back. When I asked for entrance to her warm, heavenly mouth she pulled away, leaving me standing around like an idiot. When we kissed her hands naturally went to my hair making me not only look like an idiot, but an idiot who looked like he didn't brush his hair for a week. I'm not complaining though. If I had to walk around for a week looking like a hobo to kiss Ellie again, I would.
The other thing though. This could completely sabotage my plan. I might have kissed her too soon. That could scare her away and never let me into that girl's pants.
I mindlessly threw the basketball at the brick wall a little harder, while thinking about the kiss and whatnot. i was thinking so hard, I hadn't even noticed the door come open and my mom walk outside.
"Damen!" I nearly jump out of my pants. I hadn't expected that.
"I'm fine with you throwing the ball at the wall, but throw it any harder and you're gonna break through it!" She says pointing her finger at me strictly.
"Sorry Mama." I say casually.
"What's on your mind Darling?" She asked in a motherly tone.
"Nothing." I wave her off.
"Honey, I raised you for the past 17 years, almost 18, years. I know when something's wrong with my baby."
"Mooooom." I complain. "I'm not your 'baby'."
"Whenever you want to talk about it, which you will," she winks, "then I'm always here, BABY." She exaggerates on the 'baby' part, and I laugh. I do have a great mother.
I put the basketball down, and sit on the patio chairs, pulling my phone out. No one knows about the kiss except me..and El.
'Dude where have u been?' -Derek
I don't text back. I'm trying to keep this from everyone. If Derek finds out, he is just going to tell me I'm leading Ellie on or scaring her away.
Derek was always the smart one. He told me when to make the moves, and when to make THE move. But Derek was a softie. Sometimes he would feel sorry for the girl, depending on their personality, and I can tell he really adores Ellie. Who wouldn't? Derek would want me to get into her pants without making her feel anything for me because I would just leave her. His advice to me would probably be get her when she is hormonal, craving sex, and try not to lead her on.
Yep. Sounds like Derek.
But there is also another side to Derek. If I told him about the kiss, he might just tell me I ruined the plan and scared her away. He might get mad at me for sabotaging the plan. He might even accuse me of having feelings for her. Which I don't. Just because I enjoyed a kiss doesn't mean I love the girl.
My best friend is very confusing, I know. But I guess I'm confusing too.
On Monday, I go to school preparing for Derek and all my other friends to slam me down with questions.
Where have you been?
Why haven't you answered my texts?
Why didn't you hang out with us Sunday?
