Lets remember that I have never been to a party, of any kind, my whole entire life. how in the world do I dress for a party? Can I wear my converse or is that bad? Do I wear jeans and a tee shirt? or maybe a kind of dressy shirt? or do I wear a dress? but what kind of dress? sexy formal or formal or casual or sexy casual?

That people, is the reason why I was dreading this party, and everything about it. That people, is the reason why I was glad I had a friend by the name of Sophie.

I had asked her Thursday if she could maybe come over and, well, do everything for me. My hair. My makeup. Even teach me a little bit about how I am supposed to act at a party.

And now she is on her way, and I am on my way to having a freaking panic attack. My nerves are catching up with me, and I am not so sure I am going to be able to make it to this party.

An achy feeling in my stomach is coming on and I am not liking it one bit. Like I wanna puke, but I am not going to. An overwhelming part of me is overly excited that I am FINALLY going to a party.

Even when I was little, there was never a sleep over, or a birthday party. It was painful back then. I never had a friend until Darrien had came. She saved my life in a way. she stuck around even though I lowered her social bstatus in less than 20.3 seconds.

She laughed at my retarded jokes and listened to my problems, like any good friend would do.

Anywho.

I am nervous beyond belief, so when I hear soft knocks on the front door, my stomach thinks it is time to try out its gymnastic skills.

I make my way to the door, and am not that surprised when Sophie is waiting. well waiting sounds too casual. She was jumping excitedly in place, her face an abnormal shade of maroon.

"Hey Soaps." I say with a smile. she was so pretty. it kind of makes me just a tad bit jealous.

"Soooo!!!! are you ready to be the sexiest thing Damen has ever laid eyes on?!!"

"Sorry, but I don't think that is going to happen Soaps." I mean really. no amount of makeup can make me the "sexiest thing he has ever seen."

Heck. I probably wouldn't make it to his top..150.

"Pish posh." she says rolling her eyes.

I wave for her to come in, and that's when I notice she is carrying two luggage bags.

"What are those for?"

"The supplies, silly. oh and the second bag is for me because I am not allowed to drive late at night, so my mom forced me to pack clothes for the night. sorry. I am not meaning to invite myself over, I mean if you want the house to yourself or something I could always just-"

"Hey Sophie. I don't mind. You can stay the night." her babbling was adorable, but it was killing me. I am not mean to where I would make her stay outside or something. I hope she knows that. do I seem mean?

"Thanks." she says, her face turning maroon-er by the second.

I walk her to my room, and she sets both bags on my bed.

"Your house is really pretty."

"Thanks," I smile at her. she was actually really nice. well I was thinking that until I remembered that she was the one who brought me into this mess, not to mention what she told Damen. 'she was already telling me she wanted to go...with you.' I mean really now. she just had to add the last part to it? Who am I kidding, she is the closest thing I have to a friend.

"The first thing we are gonna go I going to be your hair." she tells me as she pulls our a curling iron. I never really curl or straighten my hair, but whatever.

"I'm guess I'm wearing curls..?"

"Yes mam you are. I can see you with curls. you'd look better with curls than with straight hair."

"Whatever you say. I am not the party-goer-toer, you are."

After a lot of pulling, plucking, prodding, screams, and plops of makeup, Soaps finally pulled away from me. Thank the Lord. If she wouldn’t have pulled away in that moment, I think I would’ve died of prettiamia. Yes, I just made that word up. I warned you of my weirdness deal with it.

"Okay! i am finally done!....but you can’t look in the mirror yet."

"What are you talking about? I can’t look in the mirror yet?"

“Well you see, I have this thing. Everytime I get someone ready for a party or a wedding or a date or whatever, I don’t let them see themselves until their date does.”

“Ummm Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny Soaps, but I am looking at myself before I walk anywhere remotely close to Damen.”

“No, you’re not Darling. Look. Just trust me when I say you look good. Actually I think you look better than anyone I have gotten ready so far. That means a lot coming from me. Just you can’t look.”

What is up with this girl?!! I’m probably going to show up to that party looking like a total freak. Well, okay, I look like one all the time anyway, but….OH ALRIGHT. Whatever she did to me cannot be that bad. I mean, on a normal day I look not so pretty, so it’s just whatever I guess.

“Okay. I guess I can’t look that bad, but enough talking about me. YOU are going to this party too, you know. You have a Mr. Zino to impress.” I say to her, adding a couple winks at the end.

Immediately a maroon color was painted on her face, and a bright smile came together on her lips.

Sophie straightened her hair, had makeup on, which by the way went really well with her green eyes, Barbie doll pink lipstick, and a cute little dress that showed off her perfect Barbie doll legs.

I, on the other hand, had no idea what I looked like. The only thing I know was that I was wearing a light blue tight dress that stops around mid thigh.

That, you little kangaroos, is when I heard the knock on the door. That, you kangaroos, was a really awkward name for you all. I’m completely sorry. If you could just try to overlook my awkward nicknames that would be great.

Sophia rushed downstairs and opened the door for him. I, on the other hand, was frozen in place..still in my room, shaking. Have I failed to mention that I have really bad anxiety problems? Ooops.

“Where is she at?” and that kangaroos, is when I fainted.
