I groaned in pain as I gripped the sides of my stomach. Memories from last night came rushing in to my mind, remembering being pinned against the wall by metal arms, probably where the pain is coming from. Where am I now? After the... not very pleasant talk with that man from the magic council, I don't remember what happened. Or how he knocked me out. It's all black.
I opened my eyes to blue crystal clear walls surrounding me. I reached out to feel the wall with my right hand, "What?" Was I in prison or something?
"You're finally awake?" My head darted to behind me as I saw the same man who threatened to break my keys- my keys! Where are they!?
"You! You fiend! Where did you put my keys!?" (Too much Shakespear reading... Oops?)
"Fiend?" He tilted his head to the side slightly, shaking his head to get back on track then facing me. "Well you're not getting them until we get the book, so get comfy."
"Hmm?" I tapped my chin, "How about- no?"
"Well you can't leave, those crystals are enchanted, you can't use any magic from inside there." I can tell he likes to tall, since, well, he's giving a prisoner so much information they need to know to escape. No regular magic? Fine, how about demon magic then? Yeah, no. I'm not going to give all my secrets to this guy, I'll bare with this little 'home' for now, and leave when I want to. Can't be that hard... right?
"Oh, and how is that bad?" He seamed surprised by my question. "Don't get me wrong, my magic is intense. I can break out of here whenever I want. But are you sure that magic is cut off? Cause I can still blow things up." I babbled.
"You're bluffing."
"Oh? Now am I? Or are you going to risk it?" I folded my arms on top of each other, waiting for his answer. He glared at me and walked away. "Hey!" He turned his head around to face me. "You dare break a key, and everyone in the council's dieing, your choice smart one." I said adding sarcasm to the end. He continued walking. I sighed as I sat back down, "I'm bored."
"Yeah, we all are." Someone else spoke up, I was startled for a moment, realizing I wasn't the only crystal in the room. I face-palmed myself over my stupidity.
"So, how do you pass time?" I asked out.
"Sit, sleep, and wait for them to torchere us." He said again. I flinched at his last two words.
"Torchere? They've stooped that low? Really?"
"Well just when other's aren't here, some people like to break the rules."
"Ah, wonderful, can't wait." Speaking with sarcasm I tried to identify the voice. He was familiar.
"Hey what's your name?" I asked looking at the crystal across the room from me.
There was silence until he spoke up, "Jellal."
"Jellal, oka- wait! Jellal!?"
"What?"
"It's me, Lucy." I said.
"Lucy? Lucy Heartfilila? From Fairy Tail!?"
"Yeah!"
"What the hell did you do to get yourself in here?" I could tell he was surprised from his tone of voice.
"Eh, nothing much."
"Nothing much? I blew up the council and almost revived Zeref, they don't find that bad, and you say you did NOTHING!?"
"Yep pretty much." He sighed, "And there's actually no need to revive him." I said unexpected.
"What?"
"He's already alive. Flesh and bones, Jellal, he never died in the first place."
"WHAT?!" He yelled. "And how the hell do you know that!?"
I hesitated before answering, "He saved my 'friend's' life three times. My team's lives twice, and mine twice." I said counting my fingers. "If it weren't for him then Natsu would have dies three times, Erza, Gray, Wendy, Carla and Happy would have died twice and I would have died twice."
"What exactly are you implying? That the dark wizard isn't evil?"
"Exactly. I actually trust him with my life, as weird as that sounds."
"Really? I didn't expect that. I only thought you trusted me, not with your own life." I recognized the voice, Zeref.
"What the hell are you doing here!?" Alarms started to go off, red lights flashing.
"I came- to apologize, It's my fault your caught up in this."
"No it's not!" I retorted, "I wanted to be apart of it! I took responsibility for my complete screw ups! No you!"
"Why are you arguing with me on this! If I never gave the E.N.D book to Natsu, you would never had read it, you wouldn't have given the book to Mocarov, it wouldn't have almost been burned! And you wouldn't be here if it weren't for me!" He rambled on. From the silence Jellal gave, I assume he was shocked how someone he believed to be evil, would be so- kind hearted.
"Zeref, calm down." I said, seeing his eye color turn to red for a moment, but back to their regular black color. I saw him grip his head in pain, I tried to break out of the cell to help him, but couldn't get out. "Damn." I turned my attention back to him. "Get ahold of yourself! Think back to when you don't care about life! Forget the pain and remember!" I commanded. He closed his eyes for a moment then sighed in relief, releasing his head.
"I'm really going to have to make things up to you." He said. I laughed a bit, then realized Jellal probably had a... well... specific question.
"Make it up to me by answering his question, since I know he has one." I said pointing to the other crystal cell, listening to the alarm, making my ears hurt more from the annoying sound.
"Zeref, were you the reason for the tower of heaven?"
"Tower of heaven?" He asked. "What?"
"The R-System." I elaborated.
"The R-System!? What happened with it!?" He continued to ask questions.
"So you are the reason?"
"Jellal, elaborate, neither of us understand!"
"Millions of kids were kidnapped and forced to create the R-System, are you the reason?" His voice lowered.
"I- I made the design for the R-System when I was a kid... but... I never actually carried it out, it was burned with the school I thought of it in." Zeref said lowly.
"He's in here! Block out the area." Voices banged through the doors.
"Lucy, get yourself out, get him free, I'll lead you both out." I nodded
"Probably gonna kill myself doing this." I muttered.
"I swear if your using Celestial Fire then your more of an idiot I have ever thought you would be."
"No there's another, did you only read the first message?"
"Maybe...?"
"God you're hopeless." He sighed, "it's called Nulification."
"You can't use your magic in here!" Jellal yelled
"It's not magic." I said, then clapped my hands and placed it on the crystal "Nullification!" The crystal vaporized, then I ran over to Jellal's and did the same.
"Now follow me." Objects became black around us as everything froze. Only the three of us were moving, had the ability. "This way." We looked at each other probably thinking one thing, The heck is the black stuff, before following the dark mage to freedom. Well that was a short time in my new little 'home'.
"Wait!"
"What?" Zeref asked
"Teleport to my keys and get them for me?- please?" I practically begged. He sighed and disappeared for a moment, then re-appeared and handed me the ten glimmering keys. "Thank you!"
